Well, fair enough, Kris thought, with an appraising nod. Backus and Whitledge - torture one, kill the other, what did it really matter? It worked either way. In fact, it was rather sad that - in the point of the game - one had to decide at all: obviously, it would be more fun to just try both.
Theoretically, of course. Just a game. He wasn't planning on getting expelled, let alone shunted off to Azkaban for that.
That didn't make the game any less fun, however. "Blondes, hmm?" Kris answered, drumming his fingers on his book in devious thought. He didn't care overly for blondes himself, but that didn't mean he couldn't cater to Bingham's preferences to make it a harder choice. "How about this, then," he said, leaning in so no one overheard, "Madam Sykes, Madam Bennett, and..." He glanced around, at a loss, and then spotted someone who was blond, at least. The librarian fellow. He'd have to do. "Mr. Bennett." (He wasn't a relation to the Ravenclaw matron, was he? Kris had never considered it. Probably not; Madam Bennett was a halfblood.)
