Unintended Romancing
#1
March 31st, 1888 — High Street

Andrew's friendship (romance? thing? that was probably a better term) with Jamesina had been moving along just swell, yet they hadn't managed to acknowledge everything that had happened before they'd parted ways. He truly wanted things to go back to the way they were, but how could they? They were older and had responsibilities. They definitely had more freedom, but Andrew didn't know if that was really a good or a bad thing.

Rather than do anything brash or risky for Easter's, he thought the two of them could walk around High Street and visit the vendors in the Most Platonic Way™, obviously. At least that was his intention. Everything started to go downhill when they reached the vendor for the Easter cards, and Andrew had picked out one that he thought was innocent enough:

    As bright flowers
    burst forth
    to welcome the spring
    May you know every joy
    that Easter can bring.

"For you," he said with a tentative, but not any less bright smile. But the moment he handed to her, it would unknowingly change its message to something else:

    We're friends right now
    That's nothing less than true
But deep in my lonesome heart
    I wish to marry you.
