Edward averted his eyes bashfully, his own heart fluttering at her soft words and shy smile. Though a romantic by nature, he had no desire to fall under the spell of a sweet voice and fair hair before he could learn anything more than her name. Yet, he could not find the words—nor the will—to dismiss her hopes, as he too found the prospect of seeing her again most agreeable. "I'm sure we will meet again," he finally said with a sincere smile. "With exclusive events as these," he added, motioning to the event around them with a general wave of his hand, "faces are bound to repeat themselves now and then."
