It seemed like the sort of thing that came up in those old gothic stories, not a problem anyone had ever actually faced. It had certainly never come up for Ben, which made it difficult for him to think of it as anything he would have to put serious thought into avoiding. Besides, if no one even knew they were writing any more — Aldous and Roman certainly wouldn't have expected it of him, and unless she'd gone telling her crazy sister all about it, he doubted the former Pendergast would suspect anything — then who would be forging letters? To what end? This was all a little too theatrical for Ben.
