Ever the persistent one, Finnian followed Mrs. Bones the entire way to the casino, taking his place beside her as they stood in front of the casino. Part of him wished that the professor (and Edmund?) would just disappear—it would make the situation entirely more romantic in nature. At her words, he nodded in response; there was nothing left outside for them, and it couldn't possibly get any worse on the inside....right?

"I'm coming with you," he agreed, resisting the temptation to grab her hand before they entered the building. (Nothing had really gone well in situations where he'd decided to be that bold, he realized.)
