Ed risked a glace back as he made his way down the path and nearly stopped. The thing had a hold of one of them and it went against his better instincts to just leave them to it. Still the only thing he could offer was distraction and there was plenty of that.

He couldnt help but feel impressed when Miss mackay brought a log down on it's head and it inspired Ed to look to his surroundings. Perhaps he could find something else to help them, their next obstacle, or shelter they could take.
