Once a croc snapped down, it was near impossible to get it to release. Eva sincerely hoped it didn't get anything too vital in Mr. Spryly's leg. That would be nasty. Whacking the thing as much as she could, Eva wan't sure it was doing anything until the crocodile seemed to still. She didn't trust that as far as she could throw it. Bastien was sitting on its head pecking with ferocity. Bless her feisty little bird.

"I highly doubt it." Maybe dazed or pissed, but Eva stuck the stick in her hands in the croc's jaw and tried to pry it open, shifting the bulk of her weight onto her makeshift lever to try and get Questor some room to remove his leg without tearing it to pieces. "Can you get out?" She pushed down with all her weight, but wasn't sure it was making any difference.
