Theo's first knowledge of the hail came when a hail stone hit him in the head. Well, half on the head, it sort of grazed the side of it but it hurt like a bitch anyway. He gasped in shock at the impact and clasped where it had hit with one hand, his eyes involuntarily welling up at the sharp singing pain. Oh delightful, there was a warm ooze suggesting his head was now bloodied.
For a millisecond or so he thought he'd been hit by some heavy object something had thrown at him but he quickly realized that what was actually happening was extreme weather. Fortunately he wasn't concussed by a second hailstone before he found his wits, in fact he had more wits about him post-hailstone than he had since finding out about Umbridge. He balled his fist around his wand which brought to his attention the useless of holding it and that he could be keeping that hand free for other more useful pursuits. "We should head back to the buildings, find some porches to shelter in!" He pocketed his wand and covered his head with his arms as he followed the rest of the group.
