With a system figured out and Fortuna's hand nestled in his own it was easy enough to make their way down the streets of Bartonburg toward her home. The fog seemed to lighten as they neared Fairview until it finally disappated in front of a row of houses. Beside him Fortuna almost seemed sad. "It appears that way." Rufus's tone was gentle as he took a step backward, back into the fog, tugging Fortuna's hand until the fog obscured them again.
One hand twined with her's the other gentle cupping her head he kissed her again, this one more chaste and gentle than before. "I will come by tomorrow to speak to your father." He promised, surprised himself as the words slipped from his mouth. He hadn't expected to feel such sentiments anytime soon, but Fortuna had changed all that, had begun to change that when they first met and he was only just realizing that now. If they were going to make this work then he'd need to formally ask to court her, it would have to be properly done, planned and cautious. But maybe, just maybe, they could make this work.
BEE-utiful set!
