Diana Abbott 28 | ucpb rep » 10 | widowed ravenclaw | class of '83 socialite; patroness ❧ | ~ Having been isolated in mourning from society for a majority of the past few years, Diana is starting to make a reappearance. Even though half-mourning dictated that she be allowed to ease back in, she still elected to stay home most of the time in the home raising Henry, her and Will's son. Since losing Will, Diana fears she's also lost a lot of herself. Time seems to have calcified the softness she used to possess, building up a certain level of nervousness and concern for others. Instead of focusing on herself, she would focus on her friends and family. The world doesn't stop just because she's lost the love of her life. Diana knows she needs to continue on for the sake of William's legacy and for the sake of their son. FRIENDS/FORMER CLASSMATES: To her friends, Diana has maintained some communication via letters. They might have noticed the shift in Diana's personality. Her lack of closure, lack of finding her husband has left her with devastation and anxiety with nowhere to put it. They might have seen it in the form of excessive worry for their families and an outpouring of gifts and aid. Close friends could be worried about the fact that even after coming out of mourning, she still isn't focusing on herself and her own grief. FELLOW SOCIALITES: Though socially there's a lack of Diana's presence, she still donates to charities and causes. Her re-emergence into society would be the way for her to best reincorporate, because it's still a way for her to focus on other people instead of herself. She'd want to help throw together events to keep herself busy! Gimme your socialites who would help her through it! HURLS: Listen, I'm down to hurl her but she's just getting out of mourning and there's still a glimmer of hope that Will is still alive somewhere. If she ends up having feelings for anyone else, it's going to be pushed down as far as she can until she's certain Will isn't coming back and it's going to be a veeerrryyyy long wait xD |
