If you're at Hogwarts and happen to stumble across a walking stack of books with legs, that's likely to be Ashley. Straight out of the cotton mills of Nottingham, this muggleborn has not a single clue -- but he's trying to figure it out. Initially, Ashley may come across as reserved or introverted due to being quiet and contemplative based on how he was raised. But don't let appearances fool you, this 11-year-old is as wild and energetic as any other once you get to know him. Ashley uses art as an escape or coping mechanism, so you may also find him sketching with charcoal.

• Friends! In addition to all the usual first year classes or Ravenclaw common room, Ashley's likely to be found in the library or the great hall.
  
  
• Enemies! He's a Mudblood and his family is so poor that he's only at Hogwarts because of the First Year Scholarship. Someone is surely not going to be happy with his being at Hogwarts. Probably multiple someones.
  
  
• Possible Connections! As a muggleborn, someone from either the Ministry or Hogwarts would have had to have come to retrieve Ashley from Nottingham, in order to explain the invitation to Hogwarts to his mother. That same someone (or maybe someone else, such as a prefect or older student?) would have had to have helped Ashley gather his materials and board the train to Hogwarts.
