This overwhelming feeling of being close like this was almost intoxicating. Eva was the novice here, just trying to keep her balance through the haze and flurry of sensations and emotions. Her hands had come to rest on his shoulders to  help balance herself, but as he pulled her in tighter, she wound them behind his neck as best she could, given their height difference.

Out of breath as he pulled back, Eva sighed softly again, lashes fluttering open to look at him. The intimacy of the moment was not lost on her and it startled Eavan to realize, despite all of their careful considerations, just how easily she was falling for him. It wasn't as unwelcome as she thought it would be, for an independent girl who'd never thought she'd even get this far in a relationship. "Well, I didn't make appetizers." She teased with a breathless laugh.
