Irene Crawley 26 | wchb rep » 6 | unattached Art Conservator & Restorer ❧ | ~ Irene is an Art Restorer and Conservator. A lot of her day involves working with paintings and painting herself. She finds peace in the genuine craft that seemes to have endless curveballs that it likes to throw at her. From a young age, she's loved art and paintings, and it is no different working in the field. She is dedicated to what she does, and she takes it seriously. Make no mistake, though, there's great amusement to be found working with paintings who are particular about how their nose or ears are, and Irene has found humor in working with these subjects day to day. Though they're not "real" so to speak, Irene finds it rather wonderful to learn about their lives before they were painted (despite the fact that many like to embellish their adventures - who doesnt?). With her family deceased and her ex-fiancé's memory wiped of her, Irene's past has a hard time letting her forget, but she does what she can with what she's provided. SOCIAL CONNECTIONS: Gimme art world connections! Irene sometimes forges paintings on the side when she's strapped for cash and sells them to Muggles. It's not really something she's proud of but has had to do less since her parents passed and left her some extra cash. She likes to play some occasional pranks and is an extroverted introvert - she'll go out with friends up until a point but is oftentimes seen leaving well before the end of the night. She likes her alone time and is not to be messed with when she's in the middle of a particularly difficult restoration, but her work hours are generally all over the place, so toss me your candidates! She's not super huge on a lot of crime, but I'm also not saying she's...not open to that if her talents are needed >.> Were you there when she was jilted at the altar? See HURLS. I'd love some friends who know her past that she can lean on! CLIENTS: Has Irene made your relative's nose too big? Gave them a different eye-color on accident? Did you just not like your painting and want your money back? She'll push back saying she's in the right and you're wrong, but I always love customer conflicts >D Do you need a painting restored after the Sanditon disaster? Just send an owl and she'll respond! FRIENDS/CLASSMATES: Irene left Gryffindor in '81 and would have been graduating in the class of '83, so give me friends/classmates! HURLS: Irene was once engaged to a muggle named Colin with whom she'd bonded over their shared love of art. Their engagement saw her discover that Colin had actually been exposed to the wizarding world once before - a dark wizard had murdered his father in front of him when he was a child. He'd been made to forget, of course, but it wasn't something Irene thought she'd be able to keep from him. So she told him...just before their wedding. Which was, of course, a horrible idea, and ended with her being left at the altar in 1887. She recovered, however, heartbreak was right around the corner for her again in the form of Elias Grimstone. They're good friends, having come from similar backgrounds, and similarly dedicated to their jobs, so they get on quite well. Where Irene is concerned, that is ALL they will be, despite her crush on him. If you ask her, he willnever know, as love just has not been kind to her in the past. She's not touching that again for all the money in the world. Will she suffer? Yep. Am I okay with that? Hell yeah >D |
