This is Marshall, or Mars to his friends. Marshall is a fourth year Gryffindor boy who is actually a bit quiet and studious. Quiet certainly doesn't mean shy, as he's got a lot of ideas about the world and how he wants to live in it and is happy to talk if he thinks it's the right people. He's also awful at riding a broom. He has dreams of a career outside the Ministry despite a long history of his family working there and that being the reason why they're MC instead of WC. He needs all sorts of connections and I'd love to do a lot of threading with him. So, what exactly does he need?

Friends: Probably other MC boys, though maybe possible for some MC girls to be friends if they grew up together. Marshall isn't opposed to being friends with people from other classes at Hogwarts, so most people could work if they have a reason to interact enough.

Enemies: Marshall isn't really a dueling/physical fighting kind of guy, but he can be very snarky and hold grudges about things that happened. Might be fun to have him argue with the more physical, fighting is great-type of Gryffindors.

Romance? Not really sure about this one. A crush plot could be kind of fun, especially since Marshall tries to be considerate of what etiquette dictates.

Other: Marshall's family is playable, just PM me any ideas and go for it! Also, for professors etc, Marshall is a pretty good student (except for in flying class, and occasionally when practical work is necessary).

Hey Luna-Lee, welcome aboard!

I'm afraid I don't have much for you, as I only have one student, but she is a Gryffindor! Sloane Bixby is a 6th year, she plays seeker for the hose team, and she's pretty outgoing! She's also a metamorphmagus and a tomboy who will chat with just about anybody!

I also play the herbology professor Mason Skeeter who is an approachable, affable kind of guy!

weirdly of note, as most students know him, I also have Quincey Honeyduke, owner of Honeyduke's sweets in Hogsmeade!

Hope you're enjoying your Charming time so far!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm super excited to be here.

Mars would honestly probably be a little jealous of how Sloane can fly and he can't lol (#victorianviews), but he's polite enough that it probably won't come up too often and he would definitely be cheering for Gryffindor anyways!

Herbology is probably Marshall's jam so I think he'd be happy that the professor is easy to talk to. He probably spends time in the greenhouses with plants when he can.

As for Quincey, I think it's reasonable that Marshall and his siblings have stopped by Honeyduke's a few times so they would know each other!

Hallo Luna-Lee, welcome to Charming!! I also do not have many choices for you I'm afraid, as I don't have any students. But I saw that Mars' family lives in Bartonburg, so here are my Hogsmeade residents that Mars might run into:

Adrienne Lestrange is newly married and just moved to Hogsmeade. She's recently graduated, however she was in Slytherin at Hogwarts. She was always very friendly, but considered a bit odd since she and her twin, Aristide were always seen together and always seemed to be able to read each other's minds. She's feeling a bit lonely now that she's moved away from her family.

Benedict Sterling is my auror who's been put through the ringer in the past, but he's had a long career at the Ministry and even had a rief stint as the Head Auror before going missing and coming back with partial amnesia. He's since recovered, and is usual amiable, joking self. He also owns some stables in Bartonburg!

Hestia is a con-artist and thief that is the bartender at the Hog's Head. She's a bit rough around the edges, but a few people seem to have gotten past that. She's got a few "children" of her own at Hogwarts in Gryffindor namely James Fletcher & Maxwell Beck. And by children, I mean kids who she's fed and looked after on and off throughout the years/recently xDD

Irene Crawley is my artist! She's very friendly and lives in Hogsmeade. Her family are gone, but she runs errands a lot in Hogsmeade so I imagine she knows a lot of people there. She works at the Magical Portrait Gallery in London as an art conservator. Also very friendly!

Welcome, Luna-Lee and great choice (imho) of play-by for Marshall Eldridge!

I'm not sure if Millie can qualify for a friend for Marshall, since she's a girl and grew up in Bartonburg North to boot. She would be in his Ancient Studies class this year, however, and she might like a study partner for that one. She's a bit quiet, likes novels, should be better at Herbology than she is (her family has something of a penchant for it), and also has a pet cat at Hogwarts. Can always be casual acquaintances and see where that goes?

Who knows, maybe she's a better enemy/rival? If Marshall is snarky and holds a grudge, perhaps she did something or made a petty misstep that raised his ire? Or he said something and she responded in a way that fostered a grudge?

Romance isn't off the books, but probably nothing bigger than a crush so far. Nor a priority atm.

Hi! Mars might know Adrienne through his sister Katherine? I think they're around the same age so it could be funny to have her think about him as a friend's younger brother.

As for Benedict, he might know any of Mars' family that works at the Ministry, so maybe he's been at a house party or something similar with them?

Hestia, I'm not really sure if she would've met Mars because they seem pretty different, though he could've heard of her from the kids at Hogwarts.

And Irene, they could've met once or twice at the Magical Portrait Gallery?

I'm open to threads for anybody, but they'd probably have to be set in the past lol

Thank you, thank you!

Study partners could work well. Ancient Studies or anything else. If she wants to be better at Herbology he could help her out with that because it's one of his favorite subjects, but maybe she has enough help with that lol. We could see where it goes from there?

Again, I'm open to threads Smile

Max is only a firstie but in his house and def the brand of Gryffindor prone to physical fights haha. If he’s accused of something or something’s taken from him he’ll be angry but he’s got a good heart under his bully-light exterior. He could also use a more studious and good older mentor if you fancy xD

~ Max was raised in Italy and talks with a bit of an Italian accent / misses some English vocab/slang.

Marshall would love to be a mentor! He's got a little brother who's just a little bit younger so I can see him being protective of Max and not wanting him to get into any trouble. There could be a little conflict there where Marshall really can't understand why Max would want to be fighting. I think writing them together would be awesome.

I'm down for backdated threads! Most likely might be Adrienne or Irene. I could set up a thread with either of them if you'd like!

Sorry for the late welcome, but welcome!

I just have a first year Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, but if you'd be up for a random encounter at the library, great hall, or anywhere in between I'm here for it!

Welcome Luna-Lee!

I have Sisse Thompsett who is Marshall's prefect. She is also close friends with Bee's Sloane Bixby. Sisse is very friendly and outgoing and likely would interact with Marshall.

I also have Katherine Arundell "Kitty" as a first year in Hufflepuff. Not sure if she'd be any help but she is also pretty outgoing but not as put together as Sisse, despite the fact that Kitty is the daughter of an earl.

Thank you Bee <3 Your magic has made Sisse bloom

Hi Luna-Lee!
I (... am finally getting around to Networking) have Greta Gillenwater who is a third year Gryffindor and it appears they have some overlapping classes. She is studious but is not ... quiet. She can be quite bossy, and a bit of an unwanted mother hen and loudly opinionated about what she thinks is the right way to do things. She doesn't think she looks for confrontation and is trying her best to be ladylike (but thinking you are doing certain things and actually doing certain things are very different). She approaches things with the best intentions. She likes to talk, and would love to talk about the world because as a second sibling muggle prehogwarts she was fascinated by the wizarding world but never apart of it. She comes from a Quidditch obsessed family but as the first proper game she went to somebody died rather graphicly she isn't particularly keen on the sport as she does value self-preservation...

Thanks go to the marvelous MJ for her sensational set.
