I am so so sorry for what happened this week. Please please believe that I tried not to make it so - terrible, and that I am so sorry, I cannot say enough times how sorry I am. I really tried, and I - understand if you don't want to talk to me again, but please know that I still like you, I do, I just... could not get my father to be pleasant.

I'm sorry! I don't know what I was thinking, trying to go in there and talk to your father without asking you about it first. That was probably the biggest mistake I've made in my life - well, maybe not quite but certainly in the top five. After taking some wrong turns in the mountains in South America and not bringing our own owls onboard the Sycorax expedition.

Of course I still want to talk to you, but I'm afraid I've made such a mess of things. Where do we go from here? I doubt your father would come round any time soon.

I don't know. Obviously I'm not just giving up, but I've been thinking about it more and more and some of the things your father said make sense. I should have a house or something. Maybe that would make a difference.
