Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
Nora was only fanning the flames of her obsession, which only managed to give her more hope!
"Oh, I'm not so sure," she admitted with a girlish giggle. "His face says he's been through hardship, but his hair says he's been so pampered that he's never had a speck of dirt touch his coat." She leaned towards Nora and waggled her brows. "A mysterious man indeed."
This was precisely why they were friends. Lucy thought, trying to suppress her giggles. They all humored each other until they fed into each other, then even Nora couldn't help but admit she was having fun.
Lucy was about to comment when a lady several years older made her way over the men with a proprietary air. She slipped her hand into the hand of the very gentleman they had been talking of and leaned too close to be anything other than a sweetheart. "Mysterious or not, looks like we'll never no. Shall we?" Lucy wouldn't let this get them down, she directed them cheerfully away. On-wards and upwards.
Saved by the sweetheart! "Oh rats," She smiled, a little too triumphantly, thinking she'd just narrowly avoided having to attempt to awkwardly converse with the poor man who would have likely politely humored them until he was rescued.
"Come along ladies, there's other places to look for your beaus." She pointedly left herself out, reaching out to both of her friends to pull them toward another side of the garden. If there was any fun in these social events, it was at least that she had her friends with her to keep her company. Helping them scour the male population was fine, it was when the did the same for her that she tried to escape. Fortunately they went easy on her, most of the time and when they did push her out of her comfort zone at least they were right there to hold her hand.
