My last two characters are hard to network because they don't like people, and that's rough, so here's something entirely different. :P
Alasdair Greyback is this textpost as a character. He has been staying with anyone who will have him (and a few who would rather not have had him) since 1885. His primary goal in life is to be a charming house guest so he gets invited back. When he's not busy entertaining his hosts with (almost certainly made up) stories, he's also a skilled illusionist. And a werewolf. You don't know that part.
HOSTS | Everyone in UC society whose last name isn't "Greyback" could fit here. You don't have to invite him, he'll invite himself and stick around if you're not planning to chase him out with a broom. Stints as a house guest last anywhere from a week to a month (he always goes home for full moons). He's a good guest! That does not mean you enjoyed hosting him. Looking for all sorts of dynamics here - did he pander to your old purist grandma and you now feel a little weird about him? Did he flirt with your wife? Did he enchant you with stories about emerald mines you subsequently learned cannot possibly have existed? Are you keen to have him back or not? EVERYTHING welcome.
CLOSE FRIENDS | Dare had a handful of close friends during school years that probably know "the real him," at least more than others. Likely boys around his age, either in his house (Gryffindor), into Quidditch (he played seeker then keeper) or into charms. If you're in this group, he talks to you often and will drink more with you than he would with anyone else. Derry believes alcohol is the best cure for melancholy and he feels melancholic about once a month at least SO. Alcohol.
OTHER FRIENDS | On his return from his tour in 1885 (and for a few years prior via letters) Alasdair tried to ingratiate himself with anyone who could possibly have been friendly with him - any male between 25 & 40 with any connection to society will do. The one dealbreaker would be if you're too friendly with any of his siblings.
"CUSTOMERS" | He is a skilled illusionist, and while he considers it gauche to think of it as a 'career' (and thus won't accept money in exchange for services) he can absolutely be called upon to make fun illusions for your parties (or just for your daily life, you do you) in exchange for favors or gifts.
HURLING | Alasdair feels strongly that he should never have children but YOU DON'T KNOW THAT! He's very single and flirts when he thinks it will make people like him so I would love to hurl him at everyone <3
WEREWOLVES | Alasdair could have turned you, if you're looking for someone for plot reasons. He's been a werewolf since 1881 but has only been in Britain since 1885 (various places in Europe prior to that). If it happened in England, you would've been in Scotland.
SUSPICIOUS SORTS | He makes a habit of being seen to do something every full moon (afternoon card games, garden parties, art exhibits, paying calls — whatever he can accomplish and have wrapped up by early afternoon) but that doesn't mean it's impossible to notice that his trips home have a pattern to them... particularly since he is known to attend every party he's invited to when they don't fall on those three days of the month.
