Apparently Tuni's play at trying to be funny with an over exaggerated curtsy hadn't had the comical factor she'd thought it might. He wasn't laughing at least and his expression was that of confusion instead. His words were what gave the confusion away and she couldn't help the faint smirk when he seemed to know what it was she was speaking of.

"Yes, actually," she said with a slight shrug, as if it were nothing, "Though if anyone were to actually believe the things written in it, clearly they've nothing better to do." It was something she skimmed through when it came out but was typically forgotten shortly after.

He had the sneaking suspicion she found the ordeal a little amusing, but at least her response was more considered than he might have hoped for. As a matter of fact - if she had recognised him as she said - he supposed he’d gotten off lightly in this conversation regardless, that she had indulged it at all, and not seen fit to judge entirely on that little blurb.

“I doubt it was the worst article they’ve written by any measure,” Jude said wryly - at least they had mentioned activism? - not wanting to seem as though he’d taken it especially to heart (although he hadn’t forgiven the magazine for calling his chosen friends shady, and talking as though speaking to women as though they were independent people was a crime). Or as though he had ever had any desire of being considered eligible to begin with. He cast her a smile. “But I suppose it’s a relief to hear that not everyone is apt to swallow their stories whole.”

"You could have been critiqued far worse if you were American," Tuni said with a smirk, "They tend to batter on anyone that isn't from around here even worse." She'd seen that article. Not that she imagined half of it was true, but Witch Weekly surely hadn't held back in regards to Americans.

"I suppose I should see about getting home though," she added, smiling up at him, "It was a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Wright. I look forward to any future run ins and seeing what you've got up your sleeve for your latest work." With one last smile offered, she headed away with her maid in tow.

"As do I," Jude said earnestly, casting her another nod as she went, before he turned back to his papers and books again.
