21 | Slytherin | UCPB |  Rep 9 | Debutante & Sourpuss Hello friends, Estelle is here to judge you and ruin all your fun. Probably the least popular Malfoy sibling, she nevertheless has extremely high standards for someone who has, er, no friends, obvious qualities, or prospects. Still, she needs: ❧ Hogwarts yearmates— Estelle was purist and classist, disliked rulebreakers and anyone fun, and generally was a very annoying teen with few friends to her name. I could see her having 1-2 UCPB girls she tolerated/s, but I am also interested in exploring other, less pleasant relationships she might have had with her schoolmates, i.e. whether she harbours any mortal enemies from this period in her life. She also attended PSYR between '88-'90. ❧ Society connections— Again, perhaps a couple of friends... or, "friends". I have the feeling that Estelle thinks she's doing excellently in social interactions and being nice, but is really putting her foot in it. Alternatively: she might be perfectly nice for a while, but the moment anything goes wrong she'll cut you like that. To pass the time, I think she hosts very prim-and-proper "ladies' salons" sort of things, like daytime tea-parties or bookclubs and flower-arranging etc, and makes a big deal about inviting other debs and then dropping them from the list when they disappoint her, but also... probably no one ever comes to these things in the first place and she sits alone in the parlour all afternoon, so. Feel free to laugh about this, I guess? xD ❧ Malfoys & friends— Fam, how do we get on? PSA that if you are already friends with one of her siblings Estelle probably dislikes you on principle. ❧ Enemies— You are probably getting the gist of this already. If you need anyone to criticise your comportment, ruin your day, complicate your plots, be the bane of your life, whatever, she could be of use! ❧ Hurls... or possibly affairs?— She wants to get married. She's great on paper, less charming in person; fairly conservative in values and would only dream of marrying an UCPB. I am as equally interested in fail!hurls as I am in legitimate hurls – also of pushing the boundaries and seeing what happens if she ends up liking someone not up to her standards. Also, in her app: "Has developed a bad habit of only falling for unattainable men. (Married ones, usually. It’s a problem.)" What I mean here is that she writes off a lot of actually eligible men as insincere flirts and finds married men more idk, mature? ~of substance? So if you have an already married/engaged/courting man for her to (awkwardly) crush on, amazing, I'll have fun with that.

- She could awkwardly crush on Roberto and think Ophelia (who came from the middle class before going into Armandos care and is a halfblood) is beneath him or something? xD
- She would dislike Pandora Falk nee Malfoy. She married a halfblood and likes Victoire more. xD
- Clarissa Cosgrove was in PSYR with her and they left it at the same time but Claru would not enjoy her company and is likely friends with Victoire instead xD

I have Tavie for society interactions. She was in the same year as Torie so if Estelle doesn't like her sister's friends that could be a maybe on them getting along. Tavie is overly nice so she might honestly just ignore Estelle not liking her and act as if they are friends.

Cornelia Pendergast was in Estelle's house and year and they also went to Pendergasts together as well! And were in three of their Newts together. She's honestly really passive and would have put up with whatever Estelle might have said to her.

And finally,

Serpentine Malfoy is her cousin(?) and getting stuck with the nine year old cousin could have interesting results.

Henri was in Hogwarts/PSYR at similar times and Estelle could probably have eaten younger!Henri for breakfast. Maybe she still could, idk, I haven't properly explored the matricidal variant yet.

I have no UCPB married men but in a few months (maybe?) you could also have Emrys, who does his best to look suave and mature xD

Raphael is protective of Estelle on the surface level—he doesn't want her embarrassing herself, making a fool of herself, being treated like a prize by the men he knows. But at the same time he's probably annoyed with her most of the time they're in the same room xoxo <3

I have no UCPB married men but she could always make a pass on Edric Umbridge which could be fun? But idk.

My only possible 'friend' for her would be Benevolence - she is upper middle (financially UC, but only 1 generation from new money) but she is quiet, reserved, and all that from a respectable pureblood family. Estelle could have enjoyed being the 'superior' in the relationship

She and Ginny would probably be politely passive agressive to each other - lots of jelly fishing!
Probably same for Gwen - both thinking they are the superior and the other the deluded loon.

Meserimus would have been kind to her, possibly also tried to set her up with one of his UCPB sons

Excellent, am 100% marking down Pandora and Clarissa as people who don't like her. She would definitely have opinions on Roberto marrying beneath him, I can totally see potential for an awkward crush there if you wanna test that in a thread!

BEE: Elsie Kirke 

Congrats Torie, you're Estelle's least favourite sibling. Please picture Estelle glaring from the corner on any occasion they're together. xD

NICHOLE: Calla Potts 

Oooooh I will take Cornelia as one of Estelle's few established friends!! I also like the thought of Tavie being generally nice but Estelle still being like /squints suspiciously whenever she's around bc she doesn't trust Torie's friends. A thread with Serpentine could also be funny!

LYNN: Reuben Crouch 

I think Estelle's general opinion of Henri is "waste of space" but she would enjoy judging her from a distance. Please note the phrase "matricidal variant" made me LOL. Will keep Emrys in mind for later!

BREE: Holly Scrimgeour 

Hahahah yes agreed, I think Raf/Estelle sibling relationship is probably "we get along in theory" but in reality they just bicker all the time, typical siblings. xD I'd def be interested in seeing what she thinks of Edric!

DANTE: Madeleine Backus 

Mmm yeah I could see her tolerating Benevolence more than she does some people! But hell yes to the passive aggression with the others >D

My UCPB menfolk are Gaius Malfoy, @"Fizroy Prewett", and Julius Scrimgeour. I am 99% sure Gaius would not have an affair with his cousin, but one never knows with Victorian purebloods. Fitz is Not Here for her personality but if she presented more fun, sure xD

Between the two-month-old child and now being a month into mourning for her sister, any interactions between Estelle and Cornellia will have to be in private at homes or more intimate kinds of events along with letters unless you have a desire for anything backdated!

KAYTE: Aldous Crouch

Okay he is her cousin so she would not hit on him openly or anything but Gaius is unfortunately the most her ~type out of those, so she probably "admires" him and/or is weird around him. She is incapable of ever presenting as fun so she and Fitz would not get along to begin with, but nevertheless she is still D< that he married a halfblood? Aaaand she probably thinks she's too good for Julius but I would still be down to hurl or fail!hurl. If any of the above seems like fun I will totally start a thread.

(Also now that Estelle's thread at her debut has turned into a group bitch!fest if you fancy throwing Eudora in to interrupt them at some point and make things awkward I wouldn't mind that at all. xD)
