A smile full of love filled his face as he gently entered, watching her for any signs of pain. When he was sure she was already he resumed kissing her,. Each kiss a wish and promise of their happiness until her release foreshadowed his own.

With a sigh Rufus rolled over to her side and pulled her close. "I love you." He told her, not worrying about the days to come but only of this moment, sunlight gently beginning to spill over their bed, a moment where it was finally them and just them.

There was hardly an ounce of pain that morning. Tuni's body, however, ached in ways she didn't even know were possible. It was positively amazing. And as they finished, she happily curled up into him to cuddle against the warmth of his body all over again. She didn't know if she could get any happier in that moment.

"Mmm," she hummed pleasantly at his words, "I love you, too." And she did. She knew that and she knew his love was true as well. They'd done something absolutely absurd and crazy but that didn't seem to phase her even in the slightest.

With a sigh, she stretched out her body along his once more and reveled in the aches she felt. They didn't exactly hurt but they spoke to the different types of exertion her body had experienced. Eventually she'd grow used to that, she was sure, but she looked forward to every chance they had to get to that point. "Do we really have to go to work today?" she all but whined as she settled on the pillow next to him, "Maybe we could take just the one day off to have all to ourselves." She knew it was an unlikely possibility but she figured it never hurt to try.

Rufus could think of nothing better than staying in bed with Fortuna all day and as she snuggled closer he was tempted to agree. “I wish.” He told her cupping her cheek gently. “Although I do suspect our absence would probably be suspect.” He frowned. He had known this would cause talk when he proposed last night, but for Fortuna’s sake he wished to try and keep it as minimum as possible. “We should at least try to keep up appearances for a bit.” Rufus told her sadly kissing her lips lightly.

Tuni nodded, knowing what he was saying was perhaps the best course of action. The next few weeks, maybe even months, weren't going to be easy. They'd have plenty of public scrutiny to deal with but she was ready for it. At least they both had jobs. It should help with some of it. Or, at least, she hoped it would. But it didn't change the fact that she really did want to just stay right there curled up with him. It was really quite comfortable, after all.

Smiling up to him after his kiss, she sighed slightly. "Just promise me when the season is over we'll take at least a weekend to spend together just the two of us," she said, eyes focused on his as she made the request. It would be awhile until then but she'd be more than happy to wait for it.

Rufus smiled down at Tuni. “I promise.” He could think of nothing better than spending days closeted away with his new wife. Just the two of them, no worries, no drama, just them. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. “But until then…” Rufus trailed off as he slid out from the warmth of the covers, “We should probably start our day.” He still had no time to get to practice on time if he hurried.
