Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Hello! Hello. hello? I need your siblings! The young ones! The small, helpless, about to go to Hogwarts ones! I need you to give them to me, and then I need you to let me blind them! Maybe from birth! Maybe violently! Maybe in a tragic accident! Who knows?! Not me! Will your character be distraught by their blind sibling? That's up to you! This is open to many possibilities! Pureblood Upperclass and ashamed? Middle class and not sure how to handle it? Working class and doing their best? We'll work it out! Give me your sibling and i will blind them, guaranteed! I might even make them a seer, if that doesn't seem too cliche! (thats too cliche) (i might do it anyways)

ok im done shouting now. basically I want to make a visually impaired character, and I want them to have a family and backstory, bc a disability shouldn't be a character's defining trait. So if anyone has a sibling I can borrow for my purposes, let me know! I'd prefer someone staring Hogwarts or in the first or second year, but I'm very, very flexible. Any gender, any class, although I do want to put this kiddo through all 7 years of Hogwarts, so if you're WC and that doesn't fit with your family plan, keep that in mind. Reply to this thread or PM me Jack Watson if you're interested! (im only sort of serious about the seer thing. sort of.)

From the Lukeson/Rey branch, I have Jolie and Bellerose. Both are currently in school (Jolie is in third - UCPB, Bellerose is in second - UCHB) and they are best friends. The blinding would have happened recently, as the family has been fairly established (and adding new family drama is always exciting).

I also have Moon Smith, now a first year. An eager Gryffindor whose part of an eccentric family. They would be so caring and try to help the best they can. MCHB. She has big ambitions for her life, and will probably not listen when people say that said ambitions might not happen (her brother Uranus would likely be one of these people).

I also have David Lyness who is half-veela and is has an excellent amount of development time before heading off to Hogwarts (with a played sister and mother).

There are also the North Children, though I'd say that you'd have to check in with Addie on that one.

Edit: I should probably mention that the Lukeson/Rey fam has a seer blood-line from their grandmother, and Avril is also a seer.

Gilbert Whitechapel has a little sister named Evie who is a somewhat open book. They are WC, though, so she would need very good grades in order to continue all the way through 7th year. She comes from a fairly large family (many of whom have died), spent a stint in an orphan asylum, and now lives with her older brother and older sister Hazel Whitechapel. I'd say the blinding would have to be recent.

And Zachariah Binns has a niece named Emma in 2nd year who is his favorite. She loves to read, so that could be devastating for her to suddenly go blind, but Zachariah would work tirelessly to help her. They are MC.

Wish I had more!

(For better descriptions, you can look at my adoptables post. I'm on my phone right now, or I'd link it.)

Thank you both!
I think Jolie will be my best bet! She's already seen dead people, now she won't see at all hehehe. Also we can set up the blinding incident for later in the school year >:3c
