The Fog Has Lifted
#1
August 3rd, 1888 - London Train Station
Summer had been uneventful for the young Hufflepuff. Everyone around her seemed to be far more busy. Hogsmeade had sounded far more eventful. No spells for so long, what was it like? Did they have to live like muggles? How did muggles go about their days?

Now the fog was gone. Some people were heading to their Hogsmeade home. London would feel a bit more empty now. Less kids to spend time with during her day to day life. Though, they now had the option of using spell work to travel to London. Now even those that had stayed in Hogsmeade would be able to visit.

At the moment, she was waiting for one of her peers from Hogwarts to arrive at the train station. Many people were walking to and from the train, and moving on with their lives. It was only a matter of time before she saw who she was looking for. Hopefully this would be quite fun! Then she saw them, and her eyes lit up with joy. "Hello!" She said, walking over as she grinned gleefully.

For the August Writing Challenge.
For a Hogwarts student near her age.

Little Miss Slughorn had been trapped in Hogsmeade for far too long. She had managed to get her father to agree to her heading off to London. With proper supervision, obviously. She had quite happily agreed to visit with a Hogwarts friend that, truthfully, she felt she should get to know better. The Gryffindor figured that it was the truth that she might benefit from expanding her horizons a little. "It is so good to be outside of Hogsmeade. I love my home but being trapped there was the pits!"

Miss Slughorn was a friend that she did not know well. It brought shame to her that they have not gotten to know one another better. Homework and other friends played a part in this. It had been their first year in Hogwarts after all. Everything was quite overwhelming. "I am glad that you are able to spend some time with me. Home is delightful, but one should always have some time to get away." She agreed.

"I'm glad, too," Alcyone said with a smile. She might have had a select group of very close friends but she had never had anything against Miss Faucher-De Loncrey. "Oh, I definitely agree. Especially when one is trapped against their own will!"

It was hard to make friends when one did not like the language they were speaking. But Luce found a way to do so anyway. Specifically with girls that she had more in common with, like her views and ideals on how a lady should act. But she wasn't stuffy, and she did not mind those of more adventurous spirit. "Perhaps we can have some tea?" She suggested.

"Sure, maybe we could get a little bit of biscuits to go with them," Alcyone said with a smile. She was greatly craving something sweet in her tummy. It would probably unladylike or something to suggest gorging on a whole cake which is what she really wanted to do.

#7
"That is a lovely idea." Sweets and tea. A vary popular pairing, for obvious reasons. Thinking of several shops, she stated one that was favored by both her and her aunt.

"Oh, I've heard of that place but have never gotten to go," Alcyone said with a smile. "It will be wonderful to finally get to."

#9
Luce nodded to Miss Slughorn's statement. It would be fun indeed. "Then that is the place that we will go." The Hufflepuff stated to the Gryffindor.

Oh, how nice. Alcyone was looking forward to getting there though she was feeling a little awkward. She didn't really have much in common with other girl at all. Oh, well. That didn't mean that a friendship could not be formed, surely.

#11
Spending time with one who was not very much like her in personality did not bother Luce too much. It was always nice to learn about others. Getting to know others rather than ignoring them was good. Perhaps that was just the Hufflepuff to Luce.
