Did You Know?
Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits.

UCPB/HB | REP 6+ | STUDENT PARTY

What: Flora's Very Happy Christmas Party
Who: Hosted by Flora Mulciber for UCPB/UCHB* OWL level students, along with any of her younger cousins who are old enough to have "good sense", in Flora's own words.

* If Flora is on especially friendly terms with your MCPB/MCHB student they're also probably invited.

Cost:
Where: The Mulciber family home in Wellingtonshire
Why: Flora loves Christmas and wants to demonstrate what a great hostess she is already.
When: Wednesday, December 22nd from 5pm-9pm.
A traditional holiday party tailored towards adolescents. It will begin with a traditional Christmas dinner, which Flora is leaving the adults in charge of because she has something far more important to concern herself with: the desert table. Cakes and cookies will be baked and decorated with holiday cheer, and hot cocoa that is charmed to stay at the perfect temperature will be available all night.

There will be music but Flora really doesn't want to dance with clunky teenagers years so she's planned plenty of games geared towards wealthy children instead. She's made every single person on the guest list a handmade card. This is her way of getting everyone to like her. If someone tells her the party is lame she might cry and also give them the cold shoulder for the rest of her life.

ACAB | REP 4+ | SALON/AFTERNOON TEA

What: "Society of Divination" Salon
Who: Savino Zabini, under the impression this is an informal, intellectual gathering, has invited:

— Any and all Seers he knows (or could previously have heard of!), including Tycho Dodonus, Temerita Reid, and Elliot Carmichael;
— Any friends/acquaintances who seem like they'd be vaguely interested in Divination (if this could feasibly be you, go for it!);
Ruby Urquart + any friends/family she might have invited along;
— A well-known NPC Divination scholar or two;
— At least one slightly unhinged wizard (read: beggar/possible opium addict off the street who says a lot of strange stuff about the future), whom Savino has invited just in case he has the Sight.

Savino's mother, deciding this is an opportunity to do some stealth marriage hurling for her children, has also invited:
— some general young UCPB/MCPB society types, esp. eligible sorts for Savino and his sister Luciana.

Cost: N/A
Where: Savino & fam's London townhouse.
Why: To discuss Divination, hang out with other Seers, convince people to make new connections & predict the future together, yay.
When: Sunday 12th December
Savino is hosting a (supposedly small!) gathering for friends which is a cross between an intellectual salon and an afternoon tea. Informal mingling ft. tea, coffee, cakes and refreshments; also tables laid out for a range of Divination activities (tea leaves, tarot, crystal balls, etc) to use for readings at your leisure. If you are an eligible member of general pureblood society, you may have gotten an invitation to a normal "afternoon tea" and have no clue about the Divination theme, because Savino's mother invited a few ~eligible types without telling him.

UC/MC AB| REP 7+ | Family Fun

What: Christmas Fun Day
Who: Upper and Upper Middle Class event for invited friends (most UC and UpperMC people).
The day time event is mostly intended for those with children, but people can just drop by if they want
The evening event is for all adults.
Cost: N/A
Where:the Valenduris London home
Why: It's Christmas!
When: 20th December

The home has been turned into a winter/christmas wonderland internally - think this but victorian. There is indoor snow, but the temperature is comfortable
During the day there will be games, indoor sledding, the ballroom is a magical ice rink, a punch and judy show, clowns and performers, enchanted snowmen, live reindeer etc, whatever festive magic you can think of has been created!

Tables spread with goodies and christmas treats - hot chestnuts, candy canes, cakes, hot hand pies, with mulled drinks and hot chocolate.

Children will also be able to visit Santa - which is Meserimus in full Santa gear and receive a gift according to their likes and tastes. Visits from 'joking' adults not prohibited. Magical photos taken of Santa and guests.

In the evening, the room will have a more tasteful christmas theme for a ball. A smaller formal dinning room will be magically expanded to accommodate the ice-skating and the ballroom will host drinks and dancing. Everyone attending will get a small 'favour' from the host and hostess - ladies a fan or handkerchief, the men probably a naggin of excellent whiskey.

ACAB | ANY REP | CHARITY QUIDDITCH

What: Christmas Charity Quidditch Match & Auction
Who: Hosted by a handful of quidditch league sponsors. The quidditch match is open to the public, whereas the auction is technically open to the public but aimed at upper-MC/UC folks because of the cost of entry and the price of the items up for auction.
Cost: The quidditch match is free, 10s entry to the auction
Where: Quidditch match in Padmore Park followed by the auction at Hogsmeade Hall
Why: To help St. Mungo's Home for Inconvenient Children and the Alexandria Orphanage have holiday presents for all the children in their care.

Raphael Malfoy and a handful of other sponsors from the National Quidditch League have organized a charity quidditch match to benefit St. Mungo's Home for Inconvenient Children and the Alexandria Orphanage. Past and present quidditch professionals (1st and 2nd-string!) are encouraged to sign up, and they'll be randomly sorted into Team Hippogriff or Team Abraxan. From 10am-2pm there will be various booths set up outside the makeshift pitch from local businesses offering 50% of their profits to charity for the day, witch the quidditch match taking place at noon.

After the match guests will be invited to purchase tickets to the auction at one of the booth. Among the items up for auction are rare quidditch memorabilia, antique broomsticks and quidditch gear, a dinner with quidditch professionals, a quidditch package featuring a new broomstick and other gear aimed at parents of Hogwarts students—and more! All the proceeds will go to charity.

Pretties from Lady <3

ACAB | ANY REP | STUDENT PARTY
What: Annual Upperclassmen Christmas Party
Who: Most 6th and 7th years, and some particularly cool 5th years and/or Quidditch team players. Generally, Head Boys/Girls are not invited for obvious reasons, and any Prefect in attendance can expect to be hazed until they participate. So they won't spill the beans, you see.
Cost: BYO libations, snacks, entertainment strongly encouraged
Where: The "Come and Go Room" is located on the seventh floor in the left corridor of Hogwarts castle. There is a hidden entrance opposite the tapestry depicting the attempt of Barnabas the Barmy to teach trolls ballet. The way to open the room is to walk past it three times thinking about what one needs, and the door will appear. Students may not realize this room is what it is, but those with direct knowledge of the event will know to walk at precisely this spot and think, "I need a place to celebrate Christmas with my friends without worry."
Why: Come on, let your hair down! Students enjoy this time where they can loosen up a bit outside of the purview of chaperones, and share gifts with friends before they head off on what is, for many, their last holiday break! Other students look forward to the invite as this might be their first acquaintance to the finer pleasures in life - like good cider or brandy, a well-rolled cigarette, or a chance to finally catch the eye of a classmate with their impressive dance moves.
When: Friday December 17th, after dinnertime

Students at Hogwarts have often whispered about a long tradition of holding this highly secret not-official-not-endorsed Christmas party among older students. Generally, the party starts with tame drinks and snacks and Christmas cheer in the well-decorated room. Christmas gifts might be exchanged, plans for break made, and then things quickly turn into rowdy revelry with plenty of GAMES, from cards to musical chairs. Much to everyone's dismay, the night typically ends with a drunken musical rendition of "Hoggy Warty Hogwarts", and the host will secretly nominate someone to carry the tradition to next year.

This party has a storied legacy of legendary outcomes: new loves, new quarrels, shocking revelations, and a fair share of inebriated embarassment. Even if you don't particularly care for your classmates, if you want to know anything about what people are whispering about for the rest of this month, you'll want to be there.
