June 25th, 1888 - Ollivander's Hogsmeade

Of all the ridiculous things she'd done over the last two weeks, it would of course be a trip up in her own home that caused the most annoying thing to happen; and that was saying a lot for her. Of course being confined to her house for the foreseeable future was also partially to blame. She'd been one hundred percent caught sneaking in the other night after seeing Edric and though she refused to tell her mother where she'd been, she was not allowed out of the house anymore. She had to keep her bedroom door open so anyone walking by could make sure she was in there and of course the appearance of a new, small owl also wasn't helping. If she wasn't careful her mother would be reading her post next.
That would be catastrophic, but Febby maintained that purchasing the owl was what had kept her out, the unnatural darkness throwing her for a loop; she'd sworn she'd said something about taking a walk after dinner to do so and apparently nobody was paying attention. It was all she could come up with on the fly and she was sticking to it. The gash on her arm was from a tumble on her way home, plain and simple. Now she just had to toe the line and make sure she wasn't as careless anymore.
That was only a small vexation however, as this morning she'd flat out cracked her wand after almost tripping over Andromeda on her way upstairs. Unfortunately her wand had been in her hand at the time and she landed roughly on the corner of a stair with her wand in hand. Of course she couldn't even test it because there was no magic available, but she could see cracks and it felt wrong. All wrong.
It had taken a good twenty minutes of straight up pleading with her mother to get her to take her the next morning and only if Mrs. Harding needed something from the market and was going too. Apparently her mother had forgiven Mrs. H, but not February yet. Well that suited her as Mrs. H was her best accomplice, even when the errand was true this time.
And so the pair packed up for Ollivanders despite the dark and the fog. The streetlamps had been lit as brightly as they could, but it barely seemed to make a dent, and at least the full moon was over so she was still keeping her promise to stay safe. Of course in addition to the dark, now there were toads everywhere, big ass toads, all over the place. It was like a damn obstacle course to get to the wand shop, though honestly Febby was highly amused. Stepping into the shop that was only a little less dusty than the air outside, Febby approached the front desk, setting her wand down on the counter. "Hello?" She called into the apparently empty shop front.
