Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

May 28th, 1895 — Hogwarts Coming Out Ball
Another Coming Out Ball and Jack's second year attending as an eligible bachelor seeking a bride. More or less anyway. His name was on a few dance cards spread throughout the evening. He was having fun though some of the young women were likely very nervous this evening - especially the new debutantes. He just hoped no one would cry this time. It had been very awkward when it had happened during the last coming out ball.

The next dance was cueing up so he went in search of the young woman who had promised the dance to him. "Excuse me, Miss. I believe I am next on your card," he said with a smile once he had found her.

Laughing Sybille allowed herself to be led off the dance floor from a lively mazurka. The laugh was perhaps a bit to loud, a bit too off, but Sybille both nervous and excited. It didn't help that her aunt was watching her and Sybille was convinced if she did not act the perfect young lady she'd be shipped off to Pendergast. Another year preparing for an inevitable fate seemed less than appealing. So she did her best to be as perfect and charming as she could.

A gentleman she'd been introduced too earlier in the evening as he'd asked for a place on her dance card appeared and Sybille smiled at him. "Indeed." She remembered him, but if he were the man attached to the name on her next dance she wasn't sure. She'd met too many new people this evening to be fully aware of which name went to which. "Have you been enjoying your evening?" She asked as brightly as she could.
