Basil Potts Father, marine biologist [1834]Appearance: Zinnia stands on the taller end of the spectrum for women at just over five foot four inches though she’s luckily grown out of the lanky stage. She could never be considered plump but she surely blossomed into quite the young woman with some well rounded womanly curves. Her hair is a light brown that falls in loose waves past her shoulders though is typically found in a simple sort of braid and twisted into a bun. The easiest and quickest of hairstyles being what she often prefers. Her eyes are a dark brown with the edges of the irises being really quite dark. She prefers simple and somewhat plain clothing as opposed to anything over extravagant. And while she has an artist’s eye for colors in her water colors and floral arrangements, she isn’t so great when it comes to her attire. If her sister’s aren’t about when she’s dressing for the day, she often ends up mismatched in one way or another. She’s actually quite ambidextrous but does tend to favor her right hand.

History:
1868: Zinnia Evergreen is born into the Potts family. The fourth daughter much to Basil’s chagrin.Personality: Kind. Artistic. Dreamer. Intelligent. Quiet. Reserved.
1870: Daffodil is born.
1873: Dahlia is born and Amaryllis is off to Hogwarts.
1874: Senna is off to Hogwarts.
1875: Calla is born.
1876: Thistle is off to Hogwarts. Not at all pleased to be left behind yet again, Zinnia displays her first sign of magic by making her water color pots explode when they are used to try and sway her from her tantrum. It only makes her all the more angry at the loss of her precious paints.
1880: Amaryllis graduates and then it is finally turn for Zinnia to leave for school! She poses quite the conundrum for the sorting hat, however, and spends what feels like forever sitting under the sorting hat before it finally calls out Ravenclaw. She proves to be quite intelligent but something of a dreamer so is easily distracted. Especially when it comes to thoughts to whatever painting she may be working on in her Art class.
1881: Senna graduates and Daffodil joins Zinnia in Ravenclaw at Hogwarts.
1882: Thistle graduates. Zinnia continues to excel quite phenomenally in Herbology. She chooses to add Earth Magic and Care of Magical Creatures to her roster.
1884: Aunt Myrtle is lost in the laughing plague but Zinnia honestly seems rather oblivious of all the losses obtained throughout Hogsmeade during that summer. Dahlia joins her sisters at Hogwarts.
1885: Zinnia sits her OWLs and does quite well in the majority of her classes though does choose to drop Astronomy and History of Magic.
1886: Zinnia continues to do well in her classes but has an obvious focus spent on her paintings than anything else. She’s not entirely sure how she feels about the prospect of graduating, but then again, she hasn’t really given it much thought in general. Still very much a “live life in the moment” type, Zinnia quite literally floats through the day to day always with a smile on her face.
1887: It’s time for NEWTs! Zinnia manages to do well enough and actually quite enjoys the CoB but finds herself without a suitor, not that she minds. In all reality, she’s ready to settle in the floral shop with her family and continue working there as well as doing her many water colors. Calla starts at Hogwarts!
1888: With the start of a new season up her, Zinnia finds herself actually looking forward to the Summer Solstice Festival. It’s bound to add some exciting entertainment to her life and allow for some new water color projects to be done, with a focus on portraits. Now if only the fog would go away.
