Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
I've begun planning for the bridal party of the upcoming joining of our families. I was hoping that you might consent to be part of the bridal party, as one of my bridesmaids?
I promise I will be a most easy going bride. I don't think my own sisters would tolerate my being any other way. The only real requirement will be to stand with my sisters and I on the day. As we are to be sisters after a fashion, we might as well start as we mean to go on.
I shall not however, be offended if you wish to avoid the chaos that can be the Dempsey ladies together and remain with the grooms party.
Miss C. Dempsey,
I appreciate your offer Miss Dempsey and would be grateful to accept. I know you said there would be little more required of me than an appearance but do let me know if there is any way I might be of service before the wedding as Victor will ask me to do nothing*.

*The above text has been scratched out beyond reading but has been left for sentiment's sake. In reality, she meant to re-pen the letter, but a maid saw it and sent it with the mail before she could.
Chris recieved the letter over breakfast and used her butter knife to open the envelope. It took her a few seconds and holdng the letter up to the window's light to read the scored through section of the letter. How very interesting. So Victor wouldn't trust Beatrice to take part? She knew that Beatrice was a little odd - exceptionally quiet was perhaps more accurate. It was clear she did not enjoy the type of society that was expected of the average debutante.

Miss Daphnel,
I am so very delighted! It means a great deal to me that you shall be joining my sisters and I, since we are to be as sisters very soon. I am going to the modiste next week for a fitting, if you would like to come with me it should be some fun. I need additional votes to stop my sister from bullying everyone into wearing black or grey!
I am probably going to get some tea before hand on Fleet Street, and probably attend a book fair in muggle London if you want to come along. My sisters will rendezvous with us in London and we will go on to the Modiste from there.
Do let me know! I hope you can make it!
Christabel Dempsey
