I hope you are well - I just wanted to send you a note the news, although you may have already heard. It seems that you and I are soon to be sisters! Your brother in law Roman has asked for my hand and I have agreed to be his wife! I am so very very happy and still in shock. It still feels so very very surreal, that someone of his distinction would think of me for the companion of his future life.

Mr. Crouch - well, my Mr. Crouch - had mentioned it to me! I'm so incredibly overjoyed for you both. And, selfishly, I'm relieved to have another ally in the family. Mrs. Malfoy has yet to accept me as a sister-in-law, although I suppose that's to be expected of someone who married up.

Forgive me, I'm rambling. Have you sorted any wedding details yet?

Dear Melody,

I am excited for any reasons, not least of which being that I love Roman with all my heart, and becoming is wife is just about the finest thing I can think of. I am happier than I could possibly imagine being! Added to that the pleasure that we might be as sisters soon, even if the number of Mrs. Crouches might become rather confusing!

I've not met Mrs Malfoy yet, and I will not deny that I am nervous of meeting her. Have you had much to do with Mrs Crouch, formerly Scamander?

I think we intend to do a Spring wedding, as some of my favorite flowers will not be in season until then, and given the date, it will be January before the banns are read, and by then it will be so cold, dark and miserable that it is best to wait until the days lengthen, and winter begins to loose its hold on us.

Dear Benevolence,

It's less confusing then you might think! Or, perhaps that's my perspective since I'm so far removed from both Aldous' and Roman's lives. We only gather with them for holidays mainly. Maybe the "approved" nature of your match will allow for you to engage more with the newest Mrs. Crouch.

To answer, no I've not have had much to do with Mrs. Helga Crouch, and Mrs. Malfoy dislikes me greatly. There are many dynamics within the family that I've yet to figure out. I hope you have better luck than I.

Spring sounds lovely. Do let me know if you'd like any assistance planning the event. I may be mostly removed from Society now, but there's still a Pendergast Rose lingering somewhere within me.

I do hope you can, and that perhaps I might rely on you for some assistance in navigating what sound like rather difficult waters. I was unaware of the complex waters in which I have apparently deigned to swim. I too have not yet Mrs. Helga Crouch, nor indeed even Aldous properly. I hope we might unravel some of those mysteries together.

I have suggested to Roman that we make up a supper party at my home over the festive period. I appreciate that you might all get together as you are already family and will no doubt be in company over the weeks of Christmas, but I should like to see you and pretend we that are already sisters.

Oh, Merlin! I've yet to even consider the holiday season. We've still the entire month of October to see through before I'll even entertain the thought of Christmas. A gathering sounds lovely, though. Would you be inviting any of your extended relatives as well?

It is probably a sign of my nerves that I am considering my entire social calender between now and March!

You and Nora should come by for a visit - I've found a beautiful herbacious flower that shares her name, it will not travel well by owl, so I shall have to look after it until I see you next.
