So many things have -not- happened yet this year that it isn't even funny. How is it that Homework has now become the highlight of my day? I think perhaps I'm going mad. I need to get a cat or something to keep me occupied. Honestly, it isn't even the lack of company, I'm just finding everyone and everything dull at the moment. Please please spill some deep dark secret of yours, or at least tell me what's going on at Flint so that I might live vicariously though you....

Hope to hear from you soon. I think next time I'll make sure not to write you on an empty stomach as you know how cranky I seem to become, if this letter isn't proof enough.  <3

Darling Clarke,

Well you know I always preferred homework over some of the stupidity of our peers, but I’m shocked to hear there isn’t more ready entertainment! I heard everything came to a standstill because of the small dragons loose, are you trapped inside? That would drive me absolutely mad, personally. I’ve sent you rescue materials for the mind, at least, though a poor substitute for lack of good gossip.

You know I cannot possibly commit a deep dark secret in writing, it will have to wait until your next Hogsmeade weekend! Though I will confide that if we are to trust our security to the men of the ministry, we’re in poor shape. I had a chance encounter with the Assistant Head of the DMLE, and he was a horrifically self-important man, perverted, French, and worse, easily outwitted by yours truly. Juniper had her own encounter with a gentleman of the DMLE, head of hitwizards no less, and she turned his coattails to serpents. What a riot, these idiot men. I’m glad the nightmare of the balls of the Season are winding down finally.

On the other hand. Flint Institute has been phenomenal! We are only just starting, so the materials have been hardly anything exciting enough to write about, and I haven't met many people yet. Though I may take up Legilimency, in addition to the advanced Transfigurative work I’ve been doing. I started my research project this Summer and it’s quite fun being able to focus on just the subjects I’m interested in.

What electives are you taking this year? Anything interesting?
