"Doth a rose by any other name smell as sweet?" Meet, Algernon "Romeo" Astorwood. I swear this kid is in love with someone new every week. The typical romeo-complex, lovelorn sweetie pie that he is, however, he can be a bit shy and awkward about his feelings - so take them with a grain of salt. (He's a lifelong pinner.) That said, a few good things to know include:

Algae has had a long-running, fairly public rivalry with Thomas Aldridge since - literally - Hogwarts. He's an excellent chaser and rides the highs of every goal like a cocky bastard. Two years ago, he was mixed up in a bludger accident that cost Aldridge his career. The repercussions of said accident dinged his rep, career, and popularity amoungst fans tremendously. He's still recovering. (More in profile history.) Algae is also a 100%  huffledor through and through. He's a known muggle and muggleborn sympathiser, and doesn't typically see too much distinction between classes, preferring to befriend everyone and exclude none.

• Quidditch Peers - Do you hate and/or blame Algae for Thomas's accident? I'm sure some still do and he probably gets a lot of flack for it on the pitch. Others may be more supportive, realizing it's a mistake that could happen to anyone. It just didn't. It happened to Algae.
  
  
• MC peers - In a similar vein to the above, I'm sure there are some who snub thier noses at him for the recent drop in rep re:accident. But Algae is generally a really sweet, amiable goofball so I'm sure there's some friends in there too!
  
  
• Love interests - As mentioned above, super easy to get crushing and has zero qualms between women and men. He has aspirations to marry and have a family one day though, so potentially partial to women.... but not sexually. More, goal-istically, lol.
  
  
• Disdain amongst the masses - I mean he's a bit of a muppet, and he was part of a huge scandal recently where people think he very much lined Aldridge up on purpose, so defo reasons to hate here.

Jack Dorset might be passingly interested in the sport but as working class I don't think he makes it to many matches.  Which means he probably only knows about things via the opinions of other people a la "are you the one that knocked the other guy off his broom?".  But he's a good guy so unlikely to assume he did it on purpose.

Temerita Reid is a seer who lives in Irvingly.  She was in hufflepuff a year behind him and is single but not available for true hurling.

Thistle Potts was his yearmate and that's all I got for her lol. She's available for hurling but has no true motivation to marry.

Jack Dorset - I could see friendship here! Algae doesn't see class as an inhibitor (or blood) and most of his close friends are WC these days lol. I think he'd be a bit weary of Jack's opinion of him though, as he might be with anyone else new so~~ Open to all the things!

Temerita Reid /Thistle Potts - Maybe Algae had a crush on either of them at some point in the past/future? He falls in love with someone new every week but is too shy/stupid to do anything about it, lol. Right now he's crushing hard on his new flatmate but that might spiral up into something temporary, so depending on your timeline, I'm game for anything lol.

Cleon Broadmoor was a Hufflepuff in his year so they might know one another.
Quinlan Silverwing was in the same house but in the year below him (due to Quins late birthday). He was friendly, charming and outgoing while he was in school but did not return to his fourth year after an accident that left him blind.

And now I have like a million Quidditch characters, the most relevant of which is Jack Humphrey-Mavis - he is a kind, charming lad that began playing first string Keeper for the Cannons in 1888 when he was poached from the Appleby Arrows. He was also reserve Keeper for the British National Team during the last World Cup. He would absolutely not think Algae did anything on purpose. <3

Theodore Gallivan is his sponsor! His dad was Cannons sponsor back when Algae got hired, but Theo took over later (young & a little out of his depth) and would have stoutly defended his chaser re: any accidents and stood by him publicly. Theo is not the best at pep talks, but he'd try and give him an encouraging word when he might need cheering up / tell him to get his ass in gear if need be.

Tybalt Kirke was a professional quidditch-playing Gryffindor in the year below, friends with anyone and everyone - though is also friendly with Aldridge.

Augusta Robins is a current pro player and about the same age! She'd be friendly!

@"Jemima Farley" has probably had a passing crush on every quidditch player she's ever seen.

Yassine Bensouda is a rival coach and is not above talking smack about the accident, so he might rub Algae the wrong way hahah.

Whee all the Kit things! Maybe to start Jack Humphrey-Mavis? Maybe a team/pre or post game thread? Maybe see if Theodore Gallivan and/or Cassius Lestrange are interested? <3 I like the idea of Algae having friends on the team! He's sparse for actual quidditch friends lol... If any of your kiddos are interested, let's chat about it!

Also, if it's a Kit character - can assume Algae has/had a crush on them p. much~ Frequents the sweet shop and gains a lot of weight just to see Philip Aymslowe's face? Check.
