INTRO Hello, I’m Robin! Welcome to my networking thread. Here’s where I’ll be keeping track of my characters and looking for possible connections. Generally, I am pretty flexible when it comes to plotting and writing. I can adapt to whatever style or plots others might be looking for. I also will say up front that I am on the Autism spectrum so if things seem a bit off on any given day things will usually be better the next day. I can also be a bit scatterbrained so don’t hesitate to poke me if I’ve dropped the ball and forgotten something. You can reach me by PM on this account or through Discord (RobinWriter#5520). Plottage Preferences

GENERAL: I am open to almost anything. Things can be mapped out well in advance or completely on the fly to taste. Friendships, drama, professional connections, even enemies are all on the table. I certainly don’t mind dealing with or writing for mean characters.

POSTS: I don’t have a specific minimum post length or anything like that. My only request is to put as much as you’d like and to post what the thread calls for. Is it a rapid-fire back-and-forth conversation? Shorter, more direct posts are fine by me. Does the thread call for more lengthy and eloquent posts? Also great. Whatever the situation calls for works great. No need to stretch word counts to meet an arbitrary number like 400 if 150-200 is what fits the thread. That said, I’m happy to adapt to whatever posting requirements you have.

SUBJECT MATTERS:Most subject matters are fine for me. Although when it comes to sex I would definitely prefer a fade to black approach over writing out all the details. It’s something I’ve never really written and would prefer not to. Other than that I am comfortable going to dark or uncomfortable places as long as everyone else involved is.

Theodosia Bartlett 135 | Ghost rep » 7 | Unattached Hogwarts Ghost ❧

~— A B O U T — Theodosia was a Hogwarts student from 1767 to 1771. She was a potions prodigy and represented Hogwarts in the Wizarding Schools Potions Championship. Due to an unfortunate mix-up she took an incorrectly-made Draught of Peace and died. Staying on as a ghost and spending a few decades in solitude, Theodosia is now a more active member of Hogwarts’ ghost community. Theodosia could make several connections. She tries to befriend and give advice to Hogwarts students and might make herself known to professors with classes she finds interesting to shadow. Theodosia also takes nighttime trips to Hogsmeade for any village residents looking for a haunted encounter. There’s also the option of getting on her bad side and being on the receiving end of paranormal shenanigans.

John Griffiths 23 | WCHB class of '84 rep » 10 | Unattached Honeyduke's Sweet Shop Employee ❧

~— A B O U T — A recent arrival in Hogsmeade who grew up in Brighton working at his muggle father's pub. He attended Hogwarts for four years until the money for tuition ran out. Despiite not completing his O.W.L.s he remains a competent wizard and moved to Hogsmeade to be more immersed in the magical world. John works at Honeydukes and enjoys his job so far. Possible connections include friends, whether new or old. He attend Hogwarts from 1880 to 1884 and was in Gryffindor. He's also rather personable and would probably be up for getting aquantied with his fellow High Street shop workers. Marriage isn't the first thing on his mind at any given moment, but is something that he's exploring so hurling is also an option. Also might form relationships with regular Honeydukes customers who come in when he is on shift.

Barnaby Wye is my local ghost! He's based in Hogsmeade but might be tempted to drift up to Hogwarts from time to time and see how things have changed, and would love to get to know any fellow ghosts xD

James Fletcher is my terror of a second year student and prone to making fun of everyone, living or dead. He can be a little mean and is not above thinking throwing things at a ghost is funny, so she could of course wreak her vengeance upon him and give him the fright of his life if he annoys her

These sound likes some great potential connections for Theodosia. She would of course be thrilled to meet some other ghosts and make friends if not her own age at least her own state of being. I think that James might also be a promising troublemaker to get on Theodosia's ghost nerves. I am sure there would be much fun had spending her free time plotting vengeance. After all, she isn't really that busy otherwise.

As for Ishmael, I'm not sure how she would really feel about vampires. I doubt she would go seeking out vampires in forest but she might be cordial if there was a chance encounter in Hogsmeade during a nighttime visit. So long as he doesn't mind a bit of friendly teasing that he does not have the good fortune to join her for a midnight fly, being a "grounded" undead as he is. Not sure on Ancient Runes either, as it wasn't one of her electives but might be something she pops in to check up on every so often. Hogwarts is a big place but Theodosia and Carmelina are bound to cross paths at least once in four years just by sheer probability.

I can offer Gus Lissington, who is the the DADA professor at Hogwarts. He's super nice and I think he'd try to befriend her? He spent about a decade as a curse breaker, so undecided how he actually feels about ghosts, but I am up for finding out!

Juniper Edevane is about to graduate, but, she hates the Hogwarts portraits so it might extend to ghosts. She's a hit or miss of how nice she'll be, so... yeah.

Clifford Hillicker is a Hogwarts graduate. He's also super rude, brash and honestly, would probably have hated her at Hogwarts if she ever tried to give him advice. He'd still hate advice from her if he ever ran into her in Hogsmeade, so if you ever feel the need to write her angry, he's probably your guy lol. (And the fact that she's dead AND a higher class than him rubs him the wrong way lol).

I definitely think that Theodosia would pay the new DADA professor a visit. Might take her a few months to stop by and say hello, but it looks like Gus has only been there a few months anyway. She would be happy to interrupt his exam planning/grading anytime.

The others also might be useful for some ghostly drama. If Theodosia needs an extra excuse for being upset beyond the being dead thing I'll be sure to keep Juniper and Clifford in mind. And I can imagine being reminded of death wouldn't be super helpful for Delilah's healing process. Especially since Theodosia can't actually offer any actual closure as to what her husband is going through on the other side. So that's on the table if it is something you're interested in.

Haha, Gus has been there since January, so very new, and quite frankly hates grading/planning, so he’d be thrilled to have an excuse to set that to the side lol.

Tycho Dodonus is a Seer that is besties & roommates with a ghost that goes by "Williams". Williams is a relatively young ghost compared to her. Tycho has plenty of other ghostly friends so he's probably at least heard of her even if he hasn't actually met her.

Those sound like some promising connections. Anyone who is friendly with ghosts in general would be good in Theodosia's book. Friends among the students of Hogwarts are also something that she is always looking for. I suppose if you really want to torture George he can get assigned to deal with Theodosia throwing a fit when everyone leaves Hogwarts for the summer. He'll be able to find her hiding in one of the suits of armor filling the corridors with haunted, ghostly crying.

I have Theodosia Twycross who teaches Ancient Studies in Hogwarts. In addition to the name I think she and Theodosia share an unbridled love for knowledge, so I think they could've even met and bonded all the way back when Thea was a student herself (in early 1850s) and as such have a quite long history by now.

That sounds like a great connection. Frankly, Theodosia is so aggressively outgoing when it comes to making friends that she probably would have latched on to the same first name thing right away. But she does have a similar thirst for knowledge and I think that the two of them probably would get along quite well. Let me know if you ever want to set something up and we could flesh out a bit more what their past history might have been.
