Diagon Alley post office, Box 309
To whom it may concern,

I submit myself for consideration regarding your potioneer position.

I am a second-generation potioneer and healer trained in America specializing in fusing my tribal medicines into traditional European potions and alchemy.

Further studies and experience in healing magical creatures as well as potion and healing experience on the Continent.

Discretion, as well as innovative brewing are specialties.

If you need further demonstration, I am happy to oblige.

O. Hill,
Thank you for your response. Your qualifications seem well-suited. I am particularly intrigued by your mention of infusing multiple branches of magic.

The research subject is an exploration of the physical characteristics of those affected with lycanthropy during a full moon. I propose we begin by comparing hair samples from subjects with hair collected from dogs, wolves, humans, and a selection of magical beasts to determine how, if at all, it is similar to or differs from apparently similar species.

During the course of the project I will engage with the subjects and supply all materials for the experiments. I am especially interested in finding a researcher who can serve as a thought partner and suggest potential new avenues of exploration as the project unfolds. I will admit freely that I have very little experience in chemistry beyond the foundations and some independent reading, so will rely on my research partner to not only perform experiments but to draw conclusions and propose new hypotheses as needed.

Please let me know if this venture sounds like it will suit your interests and qualifications. Do not hesitate to write with any questions you may have. I look forward to discussing this with you more throughly.

Sincerely,
M.

M,

I find the daily work of potioneering tedious and long for a challenge. The craft is limited by conventional minds and tedious precedent. I say we offer it a long-needed revival, If you provide the sample, I will do the chemist's work.

Do you prefer to keep our contact anonymous or should I plan to meet my partner?

O. Hill,

As much as I appreciate the safety of anonymity, I do believe meeting would expedite the research process considerably — and if we are to work together, we ought to trust each other.

One final question before we arrange it, however. The specific nature of this research is those affected with lycanthropy. We will be working with samples of fur, claws, et cetera provided by werewolves themselves. Does this bother you?
Sincerely,
M.

M,

As long as you do not suggest being bitten for sake of learning, I have no objections. A subject is a subject; research is research.

Whenever you are ready to begin, you know how to reach me. Or, you may find me at the Apothecary.
