Appearance:

Aurelia stands at 5 ft. 2 in., a typical height for a woman of the Victorian Era. Blonde hair is usually what is noticed upon first glance, though it tends to bleach during the summer months. Having inherited her mother's pale skin, she burns rather easily and can get freckles across her nose in the summertime. She has pale blue eyes, which are set in a slightly round face. Being one who is easy to smile and laugh at jokes, she has slight laugh lines around her eyes; ones her mother constantly tries to get her to use a wrinkle creme.

She is ambidextrous as a result of an early ambitious attempt at learning how to write with both hands and and resorted to the same method when it eventually came time to learn wandwork. Being really the only one of her mother's three daughters that is interested in fashion, she often indulges her mother in sporting her mother's preference in fashions, but not before negotiating her own personal edits; a majority of which include but aren't limited to "less frills & lace", "not so bright" and "why so much lace?".

History:

| 1866 |
Aurelia is born to Benjamin and Eleanor Herondale; she is the 4th of their children. A resting family tradition has been to assign members plants and flowers upon their birth. They use this symbol in their day to day lives be it letterheads on parchment, to personalized jewelry. One such occasion is on Christmas when the kids get to go on scavenger hunts for their own presents which are marked by their respective symbol. Aurelia is assigned the calla lily. True to her flower meaning, Aurelia is a rather silent baby, always staring with inquisitive eyes and a quiet stare. The first name they choose for her is Lillian, however Benjamin's recently deceased sister was named Aurelia, which thus becomes the name they call their daughter.

| 1870 |
At four years old, Aurelia isn't able to say her full name and calls herself Lily, which is ironically what the family had chosen as a first name for the child. This is also the time when the Herondales have Aurelia start learning French and latin.

| 1872 |
Evangeline Violet Herondale is born. Aurelia takes to being a big sister and loves helping the nurse change her new baby sister. While helping the nurse, Aurelia accidentally changes the baby's diaper color from a soft creme to a bright pink, resulting in her first sign of magic.

| 1877 - 1883 |
Aurelia attends Hogwarts for the first time and is sorted into Ravenclaw. It is also the moment when she insists on calling herself Aurelia instead of Lily. Her family complies with her precociousness. The small witch proved herself to be a bit of a handful during classes, asking way more questions than needed, and questioning the teachers responses - politely, albeit with determination. Aurelia makes friends easily in her year, in addition to across all houses. Having had experience with handling fights between Eloise and her mother, she's good at problem solving as well as remaining fairly neutral. Being an ambivert, she floats easily between those who share her love of books and quiet studies, and those who enjoy socializing.

In 1883, Eva attends Hogwarts in her first year and Aurelia's last - she is sorted into Ravenclaw, which results in an enthusiastic welcome from her big sister in the form of bronze, silver and blue colored ribbons, sweets and magical birds expertly designed by Aurelia to transfigure into silver quills at the user's demand. Aurelia might have gone a bit overboard - and that's not to mention the gifts that the rest of the family sent their youngest.

Upon graduation, Aurelia finds herself among the top in class, which her family takes great pride in. She graduates with flying colors, particularly in Transfiguration. With the help of a Transfiguration tutor during the summer, Aurelia becomes an animagus, taking the form of a silver magpie.

| 1884 |
In the summer of 1884, Aurelia meets a one Garrett Wallingford, whom her brother knows from the Ministry. The two hit it off and soon start courting. She quickly becomes friends with Garrett's sister, Kate. Kate catches the Laughing Plague that ravages the country, which gives Aurelia cause to worry for both her beau and her beau's sister. Kate ends up surviving much to the relief of every party involved.

| 1886 |
Having had a wonderful courtship, Garrett and Aurelia fall in love and Garrett asks for Aurelia's hand in marriage to her parents. They enthusiastically accept and Garrett and Aurelia are soon to be wed. The upcoming June, they are married in the backyard of Aurelia's family's place. Aurelia walks down the isle to a gown designed by her mother.

| 1887 |
In the early year, Aurelia discovers she is pregnant, a delight for the entire family. She gives birth to a baby girl and they name her Katherine Annora after Kate, Aurelia's sister-in-law and Garrett's sister.

| 1888 |
With the new year, Aurelia's assigned herself with the task of matchmaker. Something she's determined to get Eva on board with soon enough. Her main goals consist of getting her older brother betrothed and her older sister (and - as their mother never fails to point out - fast approaching spinster) courting and married. Aurelia suspects there is someone that her sister admires, and is currently in the process of getting Eloise to confess who holds the object of her desires.

Personality:

Gentle and personable, Aurelia can be seen as the middle-woman in her family as well as in her day to day life. She adores social parties and being a spokeswoman for her mother's fashion company, but she can be seen as a confidant for Evanegline and Eloise when they get frustrated. Most often it is Aurelia trying to ease her mother's worries that her family is going down the social drain and trying to keep Eloise and Evangeline from staging a coup d'etat on their mother.

Being her father's favorite, she and him often bonded over books that they read. Benjamin takes care in reading to his children when they're young, and Aurelia was the one who sat in raptures at her father's storytelling. Though considered quite intelligent and insightful, Aurelia has a tendency to lose these qualities when she gets extremely flustered and is under immediate pressure. This also might explain the fact that she is not very good at understanding Quidditch, despite having two brothers who have played it avidly in their lives.

Aurelia can be described now-a-days as an ambivert; she adores parties and galas and dressing up, however she does has a specific taste for the more simple and modest things in life. Diamonds and gems, while attractive to her, are less preferred over a good book, and some tea with friends.
