Ellory was convinced that Antigone was under Tiberius' influence in some way. Either via the curse, or he'd made her swear an Unbreakable Vow to never badmouth him, even if she was confessing to people that he was abusing her.

Ellory had conflicted feelings when Antigone told her that she was too weak to survive childbirth. She wanted to remind her that she had been through the Cruciatus Curse, which caused the worst pain someone could ever experience. It was the Gryffindor pride of hers, that wanted to prove that she would survive whatever Claude put her through.

Antigone gave her another piece of advice, to distract him. "So you're saying that they can control somewhat how painful it is?" She really wanted to cling to the belief that Claude wouldn't do anything to cause her more pain than needed. That he wasn't secretly more similar to his father and Tiberius than he was to Cash.

"Somewhat." Tig now felt the whole venture was more effort than it had been worth, Ellory was too stupid and was probably still clinging to the idea that the exaggerated horrors of being deflowered were Tiberius exclusive. That was insulting enough on its own. "You're good at being annoying so that ought to work nicely for you. Anyway, I've given you enough advice, I could give you more but I don't know that you appreciate the effort I've made as it is." Tig was prepared to leave and was actually rather hoping to, unless Ellory said something particularly compelling but that wasn't likely.

Ellory didn't even want any more of Antigone's advice. If she gave her the liberty, she might suggest that babies ate their way out of their mother's belly. Ellory didn't need any more of this energy in her life.

"Thank you, Antigone," Ellory said in a way that implied that she was very much dismissed. "If you will excuse me, I still haven't greeted Auntie Mariana!"

She didn't head towards her aunt after she left Antigone, though, but rather to the drinks' table.
