I actually think they've quite cooled down. My father seems not to bristle at the very mention of your name. Mum never was that angry. She felt guilty herself, I think. But.. things are well.

I've been able to pick back up with my piano lessons. A lot seem to want to do double time before I return to school. A couple of parents have even asked if I'd be willing to do once a month lessons when I'm home on Hogsmeade weekends. I didn't think I was that great of a teacher, honestly. But, I'll make due, I'm sure. It's always nice to have a little extra money to use for school supplies.

And my day with Sherry was fun. She's certainly a handful of a girl but she's great. I think you'd like her, actually. Her family runs a magical distillery in London. I think her brothers opened up a shop here in Hogsmeade, too. Have you ever heard of Jewell Magical Distilleries?

How has work been now that the fog has lifted? Still busy as can be, or is it slowing down a bit for you now that the aurors are back in full force?

I'm certainly glad to hear your father holds no grudges. How would I ever get his blessing, should we to wed?

Of course, I'm jesting. Tell your mother she ought not feel guilty for anything. What was done was done on our accord, though I do not regret it.

It does not surprise me in the slightest that people think you a good teacher. I could have told you that you would make for a great tutor. You are smart, calm, and patient. Three qualities any tutor needs. If you need any money for school supplies, I am more than happy to offer a few galleons. You only need ask.

Jewell Magical Distilleries? I have heard of them. I'm not too keen on their whiskies, truth be told. And I got kicked out of one of their stores once. It's a bit of a blur but I know there was glass involved and some form of altercation involving a misunderstanding between the names of the whiskeys and them not actually being his children transfigured into bottles of whiskey. I think I was quite drunk.

With regard to my work, it is slowing with regard to petty crimes - I've been tasked with some assignments more my speed. I have a meeting with the department head and a few other people in the coming week to discuss my career. I'm hopeful it will lead to something though time will tell.

I'm glad to hear, though, that you are getting on better now the fog has gone. It will certainly make seeing you in secret harder - though I suppose I can just apparate you somewhere!

I'm pretty sure he expects for you to request such a thing eventually. So, be forewarned of that if you're invited over again. Not that he wants it to happen before I've finished school, mind you. But even then...there's probably more that needs to be settled before I even think of getting married.

I'll admit, I laughed at your explanation of your interactions with the distillery. I don't doubt it in the slightest though. Let's just.. not have that happen again anytime soon. Sherry thinks you're pretty amazing from all I've told her and I'd hate for her to think I'm a liar.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that your meeting with the higher ups go over well enough for you. I know you've been working for a promotion and clearly you deserve it. I'm sure they'll see that, too.

And no need to have to apparate me anywhere. I took the test last year after I turned seventeen. I can apparate myself wherever I wish. I just don't usually have anywhere to go. The fog didn't help, either. So the only problem now would be having a place to go so we can meet in secret. Coming here, clearly, isn't the best option.

I don't plan on repeating the events but I am glad your friend has taken a liking to me though I ought question the reliability of the one telling her about me. Surely you're a little biased! Not a liar, though. I wouldn't take you as a liar at all. You're far too sweet.

We'll see how it goes with respect to my promotion. I'm not about to worry myself over it.

Though, is that so? You can apparate wherever you want to? Oh, Ems, you should not have said that. I know many secluded places where the prying eyes of society can't find us.

At least we're all on the same page there. School and career! I'm pretty sure I'll be looking into the Care of Magical Creatures department. Probably the Beast division. I think it's my best option all things considered. Maybe I can look into being a professor in the future!

And aren't you supposed to be a good influence on me Mr. Hitwizard? Leading a young girl, still going to school, astray by suggesting secret rendezvous! You're quite naughty.
