THINGS TO KNOW

• The family is mid to upper Middle Class, though they maintain that position only off hte back of Circe's hard work and salary. The children will certainly be expected to work, as they come of age.
• Circe is a very, very busy women at her job at the Ministry, and has been since her eldest son was barely two years old. She would have been a very absent mother-- present at holidays and special occasions, but certainly not there all day every day.
• Their father was a gambler and a drunk who was exposed very publicly for cheating on his wife, and then got himself murdered. Oops?
• The children would have been raised largely by their governess.

ATTICUS LOCKET [JR]

MCHB Boy – OPEN PB – Incoming 7th Year at Hogwarts

Circe's eldest son is the only one of her children who knew any time when she was a proper housewife-- though he would have been too young to have clear memories of it. He and his siblings were raised more by their governess than by their mother or father, Circe being quite busy with her job and their father gambling away her earnings until he got himself killed. Her son is largely up to interpretation-- perhaps he takes after his mother and has grown up a responsible figure, caring for his younger siblings, or perhaps he grew up more like his father. I think it would be fun to play out if he feels some resentment toward Circe for her emotional absence from their lives, but how that manifests is up to you! Circe almost certainly uses a different name for her son's, resenting the name of her late husband. He should be headed for some form of stable career-- whether because he wants one or because his mother expects no less is up to you.

ODESSA LOCKET

MCHB Girl - OPEN PB - Incoming 6th Year at Hogwarts

Circe's daughter was born a little over ten months after her brother, and her personality is as open as his. Odessa would have been Circe's precious darling, undoubtedly her favorite child, and though her job kept her largely absent outside of holidays, Odessa would have been the recipient of the most one-on-one attention. She could very well be spoiled rotten by her mother. Perhaps she gets along with her siblings-- perhaps she's a raging brat. Perhaps she resents her mother's continued absence. Have fun with it!

MCHB Boy - OPEN PB - 11 Years Old - Incoming 1st Year at Hogwarts

THE GOVERNESS

MCAB Woman - OPEN PB

An extremely open character which could be filled by existing characters, too. She should be of known, trustworthy background and reasonably good reputation. Perhaps this is the same woman Circe hired at the beginning of her career, or perhaps she is a recent replacement to a prior governess. The important thing is that she is there for the children at all times, in the way their mother absolutely cannot be.

The eldest boy, he has the best name. Wesley. Weasley. It's flawless.  Like his elder sisters were, he is educated at home by a governess. If the Weasleys did superlatives, he would be Mostly Likely to Keep a Dragon Under His Bed Until It Set The Bed On Fire, which hasn't happened (yet), and Most Likely to Eat So Much Fudge That He Vomits,  which has. He loves quidditch, though thus far lacks the coordination even for his children's broom. He will attend Hogwarts in 1896. Suggested PB is Matthew Illesley with alternatives to be redhead or brunette.

Celeste is the middle child of seven—a prodigious number indeed. Though her parents are loving even by modern standards, she often feels overlooked amongst her louder/needier siblings. Of all the Weasleys, she is the one Lou feels she has the most in common with. Celeste is quiet and prefers to spend her time on her own or with one-two others. She is very musical, already besting her sisters at the piano, and has a pet hedgehog she rescued in the garden and nursed back to health. She will attend Hogwarts in 1897. Suggested PB is Molly McCann with alternatives to be redhead or brunette.

Briony (name open) has been Louisa's friend for years; either they live in the same area of Bartonburg North, or they met at the park and became fast friends. Briony's family is quite different to Lou's; notably, no one is involved in quidditch, and she does not have a thousand cousins running around xD Though they were sorted into different houses upon arriving at Hogwarts, the two remain very dear friends, though Briony sometimes feels jealous about Lou's closeness with Marigold. Lou met Marigold (name open) as they sat next to one another during the sorting feast—if MC, she does not live in Hogsmeade. The two did not immediately get along, but had a turning point shortly before Christmas. Though she would never admit it aloud, Lou considers Marigold to be her closest friend at this stage. Marigold does not play quidditch, nor is she interested in flying, but she has a keen interest in herbology. There is a bit of a rub, though: Marigold has grown distant this summer, and will remain so during the upcoming school year, for reasons Louisa does not know or understand. (Reason: dad's a werewolf.) Face and ethnicity are wide open; pictured is Violet McGraw.

Leonard Travers

Leonard Travers is the living embodiment of fortunately/unfortunately. Fortunately he was the only boy born to his parents so inherited vast wealth when they died - unfortunately they died when he was sixteen. Fortunately he married his best friend - unfortunately the marriage bed gives them both the ick. Fortunately his wife became pregnant after one of their few attempts to be as husband and wife to one another - unfortunately, due to feelings of inadequacy, they accidentally adopted a child at the same time. Fortunately a life of travelling meant no one asked questions - unfortunately he has a terrible secret that would destroy him and all his family were it to come out. Leonard is a man with secrets, a man who means well, a man who loves his wife and children but can never be entirely honest with them.

Picture is Rufus Sewell, with alternatives to be anything. He and the children must look alike, but whoever takes the first one dictates race/ethnicity.

Edgar Travers

Edgar was born in or around 1874, roughly at the same time as his brother Edmund, however, they are not twins, nor even brothers in the biological sense. MISTER RAVI WADIA

B. 1875-1876 | UCAB/MCPB | MANDIRA| PERSONAL SECRETARY

Ravi is Leo's personal secretary but he has grown to be a large part of the household and acts as a secretary and general organiser for all of them. He isn't a butler, per say, but he runs the Travers household and is trusted completely. All the specifics of his background are totally up to you, but I have it in my head that he is the son of a retainer who became part of the household upon his father's death - perhaps Leo and Leto paid for his schooling and he feels a grudging obligation? Perhaps he genuinely likes them? (They genuinely like him, however his relationship with anyone else is up to you). Basically, he's an open book. PB is flexible, pictured is Ishaan Khatter with alternatives to be of Indian descent.

MISS AUGUSTINE DUMAS

Approx 1855 | WCPB | BEAUXBATONS | LADY'S MAID

Miss Augustine “Augie” Dumas has been Leto’s lady’s maid for decades, a position that has given her an overinflated sense of her own importance. Whether she is well-liked by the rest of the household is entirely up to you, but either way Leto absolutely adores her and hangs on her every word - whether she uses this for evil is up to you but Leto will literally have to see her stabbing one of her children before she dismisses her so she has a lot of freedom for a woman in her position. Pictured is Camille Cottin, please run alternatives by me because I'm sort of into this one xD

Browne-ie Points

PRUDENCE BROWNE

B. 1872 | MCPB | GRYFFINDOR | MINISTRY OF MAGIC*

The youngest of the Browne horde, Pru has always been a bit of a wild card. Sure of herself and a bit more adventurous than her parents (and possibly her siblings...) would deem prudent, academics were not necessarily her priority at Hogwarts, where she instead may have focused on quidditch, adventure, etc. She was adamant she did not want a Season, instead finding a position at the Ministry of Magic, likely in the Department for the Control & Regulation of Magical Creatures or Department of Magical Games & Sports. This, she thought, would be a suitable compromise with her parents: she wasn't focused on books or marriage, true, but at least she wasn't playing quidditch or wrangling dragons (both viable career options in her opinion). How she feels about the career she's settled into, though, remains to be seen...

Gideon loves his youngest sister and does indulge her a bit, but hopes he never has cause to regret doing so. She was previously played. Suggested PB is Maisie Williams with alternatives to be brunette. Her reputation is likely in the 7-8 range.

HELEN "TEA" HATCHITT.

Tea was concieved in what came to be known as the Amorentia Tea incident when her parents, a Hogsmeade Wizard and a Irvingly Muggle, came to fall in lust with one another and eloped. (Her aunt Judy was very much unimpressed with the whole situation and the late notice). She is 11 years old, to be 12 in October and as such she left to go to Hogwarts on September first like every other first year. Her family went off to enjoy Irvinglys' Harvest festival when The Mist set in and in one foul swoop her parents, her aunt and uncle were all Vanished. She will hear about things from afar and in real time but be absolutely powerless to do anything or help in any way. Her personality is pretty open but please discuss. Personality Section Required.

HERMIONE HATCHITT

MCHB. Child born 1885. OPEN PB.

Hermione, born January 11 1885, is ten years old. She was the first child concieved in a non-amorentia haze by her muggle mother and wizard father. She had a fairly unremarkable life living in Irvingly with her parents and two siblings and had great fun wishing her elder sister goodbye one the morning she left for Hogwarts. She was with her aunt Judy, brother and cousin when the Mist set in and vanished her parents and uncle and aunt in one big go. I'd like to think all three children are pretty much in awe of Aunt Judy who has the title of 'The Cool Aunt' however she is not their parents. Personality Section is Required in App.

HEATH HATCHITT

. MCHB. Child Born ~ 1886 - 1891. OPEN PB (Suggested is Roman Griffin Davis).

The youngest of the four Heath's birthdate is the most flexible of all the four orphans. He's the first (and only) son born to his parents and the baby of the four cousin though he stubbornly refuses to bear the title. He could be born 1886 and be about the same age as his cousin Rory or he could be younger. My current suggested age range is from 5-9. His personality is pretty much open to discussion as is his face though he's probably not serial killer...Personality Section in App is Required.

RORY BECKETT.

Rory was born in 1886 and is around 9 years old. His mother never finished school and left after her owls and was very entrepreneurial/ Pepper Potts(as in Ironman) coded and most likely still worked throughout his childhood. She fell in love with his father, an academic / former teacher and after some time they married and had Rory though their union wasn't blessed with further children. This didn't matter however as he was never lonley as he was blessed with a very close relationship with his cousins who lived incredibly near by. His personality is pretty much open to discussion as his face but Personality Section is App is Required.

Grieving Grimstones

for Ruth Lockhart, Elias Grimstone, @"Anthony Grimstone" & Margaery Lockhart; by extension Daffodil Grimstone

The extended Grimstone Family has been hit hard by SWP #13, losing Lucille Grimstone, family matriarch and the glue that holds them together, in addition to Calvin's/Margie's father and Rue's husband, Magnus Lockhart. Margie made it a week into Hogwarts before the catastrophe so is handling it all from afar and Rue is positively devastated. She, Calvin and Simon, once the dust has settled, will relocate to London to live with Tony for a while, if not permanently. Simon was with Ruth at the time of the disaster and it's Going Great.

Calvin Elias Lockhart Jorge Benito

Oct. 1885 | WCHB | child | 8ish rep Calvin was at the Irvingly Harvest Festival when the fog began. He, Lock and Lucille were enjoying a treat when the mist began and the panic erupted. Lock tried his best to get both Calvin and Lucille away, but only by sheer luck and one hearty push, did Calvin make it beyond the mist and into Hawthorne Hollow as he panic-ran away from the situation. He wound up at Eavan Miller 's farm by nightfall after lots of wandering, where he was well-taken-care-of overnight, but was too panic-stricken to give away much in the way of details. After the camp is setup the next day, Eavan took him back to be reunited with his mother and grandfather, but he has yet to speak about what happened. How long THAT lasts is up to you! But the poor kid is traumatized.

Simon Grimstone Jerome Flynn

1834 | WCMuggle | widower 8ish rep | craftsman-related occ. Father to Elias, Ruth and Tony. Simon comes from Portsmouth and a muggle, working class family. He is skilled in carpentry and - like his father, brothers, and most of the men in the area - apprenticed and worked as a shipwright in the local dockyards. Through industry troubles, he has always struggled to make enough to support his family, though both he and his wife were adamant about giving their children a full education. Proud as he is of Elias' successes, he has always felt awkward accepting the benefits of it in return, which have seen them living a more comfortable life (though Simon continues to have quite a gruff attitude about most middle class society). He has also always struggled with the magical/muggle barrier, feeling a little like an outsider in his own family - but when Ruth and her husband moved to Irvingly, Simon and Lucille followed suit. His occupation in Irvingly is open, whether carpentry-related or something entirely different: he may have seen Irvingly as a second chance of sorts, to be less distant from his children's lives - but he's basically a fish out of water all round! As personality goes, Simon isn't so different from his children: he works hard, has a dry sense of humour (and at heart, maybe he’s a romantic), but he is also hot-headed and very, very stubborn. Margie is his little best friend and she shadowed him frequently until her time to go to Hogwarts arrived. With Lucille lost to the mist, how he is handling it is up to you, but arguably, it's probably Not Well. MJ is (and therefore the rest of us are) very attached to his suggested PB. xD

Team Ross

IDRIS ROSS

B. 1878 | MCHB | OPEN HOUSE | SIXTH/SEVENTH YEAR ('95)

The eldest child to the former Minister of Magic and his wife, Idris has always had the sense inherent in being Roslyn's child but the outgoing nature necessary to thrive in a large extended family like the Fisks. Though a hard worker, Idris has always done better in practical classes than academic ones, a fact that will likely inform his eventual career choice. The Fisks are Jewish, so Idris has long been exposed to the related culture, though his level of religiousness is up to the player. The suggested PB is Chosen Jacobs. He is mixed race, with a black father and a white mother.

Trauma Niblings

Until recently residents of Irvingly, Ros was quick to give Katia's remaining children a place to call home following the mist that enveloped the village and claimed their parents and sisters. They are culturally Jewish.

B. Late 1878 | MCHB | SLYTHERDOR | SEVENTH YEAR ('95)

Charming Charlie. The middle child of seven, Charlie has always felt as though he needed to work hard just to be seen and heard, and so has developed an outgoing, sociable personality. This doesn't necessarily come easily to him, though—he often finds his social batteries reaching their limits, which can result in some anxious behaviours. Grief and loss are not emotions he is equipped to process in a healthy fashion, so some self-destructive hobbies are likely in his immediate future. Suggested PB is Mason Thames.

NEVILLE MEADOWES

B. 1879 | MCHB | RAVENPUFF | FIFTH/SIXTH YEAR ('95)

Nosy Neville. It's a nickname he more than earned as a child, constantly shoving his nose into what others were doing. This has been a double-edged sword: he is a font of family gossip, but can sometimes be unwelcome in conversations. He has, mercifully, begun to grow out of these habits, directing his seemingly boundless curiosity more and more frequently into academia. Still, he often can't help but follow this curiosity wherever it leads. Historically good-natured, the dramatic changes in his family life are likely to make him more reserved as he directs his curiosity to the areas of disappearance and death. Will he be able to keep his interests healthy and normal, or will he take matters too far as he learns more? Suggested PB is Archie Yates.

Much-Loved Lily. Lily is the youngest in her now much smaller family, and has traditionally been coddled by her elder siblings. Transitioning to Hogwarts was a change to begin with, but now not having her sisters at all is like an ice pick to the eye socket. She is not looking forward to living with the Rosses—she likes them fine, but she'll have to share a room with Rhiannon when she's had a room of her own at home for as long as she can remember and it's just not home.
