Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

"Naturally," Angie chuckled at the comment on the Department of Mysteries. "I feel like that's going to be too much sitting for me." Angie didn't want to be complacent or stagnant with the new job. She liked moving around, she liked being out and about and she hoped whatever department she landed in would keep her on the go. "I've missed a lot of the big magical catastrophes." Thank Merlin. "But I've heard about them all, so I can imagine they're a very busy department." Plus it would lend to her problem-solving abilities and use more of her cursebreaking skills. Like that sinkhole in Padmore Park. That was something Angie could handle working on.

Finally her winged companion excused itself for a flower nearby and Angie watched it go fondly. "I don't think I'll handle desk work too well." She admitted with a wry smile. This conversation had helped her immensely though. "I'm Angie Swan by the way." If she was going to take this ministry switch seriously, it would be good to have a friendly face within the building itself.

"That's fair," Viola said. "I don't mind working at a desk and even I find it tedious sometimes." The benefits outweighed the down sides for Vi, at least. "Viola Sinistra. If you do end up coming to the Ministry, feel free to drop by Public Information. I promise we're a friendly bunch," she said with a chuckle. It was a good department for gossip-y types, and Viola was self-aware enough to know that was why she fit in there.

It had been a while since Angie had even lived among civilization for any length of time, a little public information wouldn't hurt, she didn't think. Plus she could use some more friends, especially since she was sticking around. She had never been very good in most social settings, even as a teenager, but hopefully she would be able to make the switch.

Now that neither one of them were captive of the butterflies, Angie was in need of something to eat. "Thanks, I will." She smiled because she meant it.
