Delphine Hunniford
22 | MCPB | Gryffindor Class of '89 | Employee at the DoMA&C | EightA free spirit, Delly has always been known to do whatever she wants when the urge occurs - from going against her parents and taking a job or moving out of her family home before being married. She is bright and almost always happy, ready for any sort of adventure and restless for something new. However, you likely hear her name and think of the accidental death of her brother in 1886 after his graduation and that her older sister Rosalie Hunniford broke off her engagement abruptly to Ezra Applegate a month before the wedding was due to occur a few years ago.

FRIENDS. She was a Gryffindor from '82-'89 and could have kept up with anyone she knew from that time or who she had met afterward in society or at work. A bit of an open book she makes friends pretty easily with almost anyone.

COWORKERS. She's worked for the DoMA&C for the past three years. Most of her coworkers know her as dedicated but flighty and distractable. She doesn't like paperwork.

CLIENTS. As both a passion project and a side source of income, Delly offers weather and atmospheric charms for all occasions from parties to greenhouse set up and anything in between. She has been offering this since late '91 and started with family friends but has expanded her clientele base from that in the past few years. She is by no means the name to hire but does offer a cheaper, respectable alternative. Her fees range depending on the complicatedness of the spells, the length of time she needs to set it up, as well as if she is expected to be there at the event to monitor. Additional charge for follow-up visits.

Additionally, there is always the risk that something with her spells goes wrong! Did your party go downhill? Did a rain protection spell fail? Something else? That is a possibly too, she isn't perfect.

HURLS. While she does show face at the occasional society event, she isn't a deb nor is she really looking. While she used to be quite the romantic now, if anything, she is a bit guarded after having watched how quickly Rosie and Ezra's relationship fell apart and its impact on her sister. So while she makes friends easily I don't see her willing to reach this point quickly even if she does deeply hope for true love. On the other hand it could just slip up blindly. I'm open to it even if she is reluctant. As for what she is looking for, I have absolutely no clue. She wouldn't marry for money, only love. My initial vibes of her are that she is pretty open to whatever/whoever.

@"Fallon Hatchitt" is a few years older but likes Delly's general ~vibe and would be interested in being friends

She's inactive rn but Verity Swann was in her year(I think?) Unlike Fallon, Verity wouldn't have been a fan of the "go with the flow" vibes haha

I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure how she'd respond to flirting - if she'd flirt back, be embarrassed, or it would just fly over her head and she'd think he is being friendly. If she does notice and flirt back she wouldn't be 'serious'? Just because she is a bit reluctant about relationships after Rosie and Ezra. Regardless, a fun work dynamic.

Ohh and Delly muse also likes Fallon. Would she be interested in being friends with the age gap or maybe something more like a mentor? Or a it of both? I also think Delly would really like Fallon's stories from work too.

Knee jerk says Delly wouldn't necessarily dislike/hate Verity but I don't think she was a fan either. I do think her opinion might have shifted a bit more favorably towards her after Verity's father's death just by knowing what it is like to lose someone. Would Verity take this as pity? Idk

Omg yes to her and Ezra. Mmmm I think both a current and a past one could be interesting but maybe start with a past one? Just to establish a baseline? Were you thinking past as in pre or post breakup?

Let's start with that as I'm unsure how much or over what she might interact with Alfred or Ford (when she wasn't friendly with Verity).


Edit: if she is friends with Greer that might give more of degree of connection for Ford than going to school with Verity!

Yes and yes. Both to Daffy and Greer. With Daffy the fun phase of I'm Getting Used To Living With You When I Only Knew You Peripherally As My Sister's Friend. How much do you think they spoke prior? Or kinda move in blind? Maybe something either current or right after Delly moved in?

And omg Greer seems right up the line of someone Delly would love as a friend. I know she's only been here since October(?) but Delly also lived in Hogsmeade till the beginning of January and they might be at the same kindo society events if you want it to be a brand new thing?

As far as Harvey and Alvin: I'd love to try both at some point. Maybe after some of the threads with Daffy and potentially Greer if we do one get settled in? If we don't do something for Greer we could toss in one of the two pairings (even if Calla muse is screaming about sisse in regard to alvin).

And I'll respond about Dean in his intro!

I haven't done any threads with Ezra during his relationship with Rosie so I was thinking post breakup, at any point that seems interesting to you... but I'm flexible! Plenty of muse for him regardless of when!
