Ben is out of a job! because I found his previous one boring after all this time sorry friends
While he has often been between jobs in his life, this is the first time he's been between jobs with a family to support, so he will want to remedy this ASAP. That's where you come in!
Ben has a range of experience in the following areas but is technically qualified for nothing (meaning he has no post-Hogwarts training or certification in any of these areas): cursebreaking, magical creature care, flying, Quidditch.
Ross' new anti-nepotism law means neither of his brothers can just get him a Ministry job, but that doesn't mean nepotism can't help him elsewhere! Aldous is very likely to be the next Minister and even if he's not, Roman was/might continue to be the senior undersecretary to the Minister. Perhaps your character is willing to give Ben a job to get in their good books?
In general I'm looking for ideas / pitches about where he could work that would either have played work connections or create interesting situations for me to thread. I'm also interested in interviews - Ones that go well, ones that go terribly, I don't really care. If anyone Ben has prior connections with wants to convince him to try and start his own business and wants to be a partner, I am intrigued by that possibilityand of having to ask his brothers to bail him out later if it goes belly-up.
And then finally, friends/family would know he was in need of work. If anyone wants to offer financial assistance Ben will awkwardly turn it down (for now) and if anyone wants to offer leads on jobs Ben would be awkwardly grateful. These could be threads/letters or just offscreen.
