So, uh, my academic types are all a little...dark, but we have:

• Persephone here who would chew him up and spit him out.
  
• Idunn Fraser, who would learn all she can from him (#Potions Nerd) before...chewing him up and spitting him out
  
• Langston Dashwood who is big into charms and inventing but also a rake
  

For more levity, Divona Dodderidge could interview him about poisons (for completely innocent reasons, she assures you!) and Wystan Pomfrey is a private physician which is fabulous to have if you accidentally poison yourself in your research <3

My best bets for your are @'daffodil potts' for all of your potion ingredient needs, she was a Ravenclaw a couple years behind him, but also a natural at potions. Her family owns the local florist!

I also think he's Holden Cartwright 's age but Holden has a lot going on, mainly he's been obliviated and doesn't remember an nudging about his past life xD they may have been friends back in school? Good be a place to test don't potions out?

Please meet Ida Chang! Very academic type and liable to humblebrag about her 5 Os on NEWTs. Kind of like the curious cat who may or may not die one day from her experiments, most recent accomplishment being to turn a criminal man into a dog. Her probability to scheme/be friends is high if they get discuss any research projects. Reasons to meet- her family (unplayed) owns Chang Imports of the Orient, a flourishing herbs/ingredients biz that stocks up a number of exotic ingredients in of potions closets in Hogsmeade & Hogwarts, & she occasionally helps with the business. Or at society parties I'm sure (her friends are scheming with ways for Ida to 'marry up' so she's going to be at a few events).

Thomas Harvey can work any soiree that needs an accomplished mixologist, or, he and his friend head up a private investigations business should Henry ever have the need for ~discreetly finding out something.

Finally have @"Sophia Voss" and Cassian Valenduris for random encounters that can range from theatrical performances to the casual run-in with the law.

I find the idea of Harry interacting with someone who'd chew him up and spit him out very funny, tbh, but also he likes teaching people what he knows, so a thread with Idunn might be interesting on both counts. XD Also my next immediate thought is that I would love to thread Harry/Wynstan, because the likelihood of Harry accidentally poisoning himself is high.

Oooh, Holden immediately piqued my interest. XD Harry's like "I don't know that there's anything I can do for this, but I am absolutely willing to try."

I think Harry/Ida would be interesting! Harry is always in the market for new things to stick in his potions, and more than happy to talk to someone about his projects.

Hey Steph!

I have Juniper Edevane who has a fascination with the dark arts, and is trying to teach herself dark spells for the purpose of being a force to be reckoned with. Hexes, curses, jinxes, she wants to learn them all. She's pretty mean and blunt, but I feel like they have a potential to be somewhat friends? She'd be willing to test out potions if he'd be willing to be her guinea pig for new spells she's learned. Whoops.

Clifford Hillicker is the criminalperson Ida turns into a dog, above. Desperate? Yes. He's on the lower end of WC and well... he'll do anything for money. He's very rough, brash and rude to well... everyone. (He has a solid one friend, if that's any indication of what kind of person he is.) He's also a year younger than Henry so there's a slight potential they could have known each other at Hogwarts, although his last year was '85 because he couldn't afford anything past OWLs.

Delilah Warbeck is a Potion & Plant Healer at St. Mungo's for any potion mishaps.

I'm up for giving them a try! I forgot I also have Sebastian Beauregard who I believe graduated class of '83. He's potions adjacent (medi-wizard) who also happens to be gay. I imagine if Henry's ever had an accident, these two may have bumped into each other.

I have far too many characters, but some options...

Theodore Gallivan was his dormmate in Ravenclaw! I can't remember if we ever established anything with them back at Hogwarts but I could see them being friendly?

Ari Fisk is in Potion and Plant Poisoning (at Hogsmeade hospital), probably thinks Harry should TAKE BETTER CARE OF HIMSELF and stop drinking experimental solutions, please.

Rosamund Bones is a fairly nerdy healer and was a Gryffindor in the year below him!

Ewart Fraser is Idunn's eccentric father, also into experiments of a kind.

Savino Zabini is a foreigner and a Seer and is also privately aware he is dying, and could probably be tempted into signing up for some experimental test subjecting for interesting potions because ~yolo, it can't make things any worse?

James Fletcher doesn't have any weird problems of his own but would probably still sign up to try some weird shit for cash during the summers. Or for free, actually. For the bragging rights. xD

XD But any good scientist knows you need a bigger sample size than just yourself, so Clifford/Harry would definitely work! '

I play the DADA professor right now and he's dying at this thought xD But yes! Cliff is a riot and I'm so sorry for his actions already lol. But yes<3 a thread would be wonderful.

Yes, he would advertise his services! I had the vague idea that Harry's renting a space somewhere in London to use as a lab. Because he lives with muggles and that's most viable. But I'd be very down for fic with Harry & Savino!
