Delivered to the Dempsey Estate by a long-eared owl that was none too pleased at having to make a flight across the Irish Sea.  The envelope was sealed with the crest of the Chambers family.

Dear Miss Christabel Dempsey,

May this letter find you in good health. It does not escape my attention, nor your own, I would wager, that we have not had the pleasure of meeting in some time. Memory fails to provide an exact date, but I imagine it could be as far back as the previous year. Thus, I seek to remedy this glaring oversight and would request the pleasure of your company, if I can entice you away from your other endeavors.

I will be in London to meet with my publisher this second week of July. There will also be a small gathering at the London home to commemorate the publication of my most recent treatise. We would be honored if you would consider joining us Friday, the fifteenth of July at seven o’clock. That business with the Floo Network Authority has been set right and the grate should be connected to the Floo Network once again.

In any case, I am most eager to hear if you are writing anything new. I was able to purchase a copy of The Mystery of Erasmus Munch while I was in Flourish and Blotts, and I am happy to report myself in agreement with the more enlightened critics who have written about it. Consider my curiosity piqued, which as you know, is no easy feat.

Sincerely,
Ambrose Chambers

P.S. I apologize if Athena is especially ill-tempered. I do not believe she cares much for the journey across the sea to reach you.

Mister Chambers,

Thank you for your kind words, I shall pass them along to Mister Whitlock Evergrimm! He will be most satisfied to hear them. EVergrimms future works we might discuss in person, their potential subjects too many and too varied to be enuerated here succinctly, or in so little paper as might not harass my own owl on her travels across the Irish sea. Athena bore her burden bravely, but I am not sure Anú would be so patient.

I do indeed concur! It has been far too long since we amused ourselves in each others company. You know that I can seldom say no to you! I shall indeed be in London next week, I'm attending a meeting of the Hermetic Order. I should be delighted if you would join me for the meeting. I find that nothing provides as good of a diversion for evening than watching muggles delude themselves into believing they are practicing witch craft. It's all in good fun, how terribly innocent of them.

I should be delighted if you could join me, otherwise I will join you at your home afterwards.

Kindly,
Miss C Dempsey

Miss Dempsey,
My sincerest apologies to Mr. Evergrimm. I did not mean to misattribute his work in my previous letter. You are so often our intermediary; my good sense must have taken leave of me for a moment and let me forget to whom I was writing. Sometimes my quill marches on regardless of whether I have fully formulated my next sentence.

I would be delighted to join you at the meeting of the Hermetic Order. Seeing what the muggles would call magic sounds quite droll. It was one of the most interesting subjects in muggle studies, the relationship between muggles and magic. Observing firsthand how muggle witchcraft has grown in recent decades. I suppose that could be a promising subject matter for a new book. A guide to the magic of the non-magical.

I shall find you on Fleet Street before the start of the meeting. As a member, I would imagine you are more familiar with the eccentricities of these muggle organizations.

Kind Regards,
Ambrose Chambers

Dear Mister Chambers,
You are, of course, forgiven.

I shall see you there! outside the Romanian St. George church, on the corner of Fetter Lane and Fleet Street would be the best place to rendevous. I usually travel by carraige from The Leaky Cauldron, as I am reticent to apparate into such a crowded area.

Regards
Miss C Dempsey
