He wasn't surprised at the no but that didn't mean he liked it any more. He felt trapped there, torn between a mannered upbringing and the instinct run for it. His eyes cast about for an escape route but he already knew there was no point. The man was right there; all he had to do was reach out. And he probably had a wand anyways.
