Dear Miss Alice Dawson,
I do agree that Hogsmeade has a way of keeping one on their toes. I am sorry to hear you both were trapped in the maze! I am relieved that it seems as if you made it out unscathed. You have indeed, yes? One of the neighborhood children wasn't as fortunate, but he lived to tell the tale, I suppose. Thankfully, Anne and I did not find ourselves trapped. Although, I'm sure Anne would have loved the adventure.
Sometimes, I wish I resided in Ireland, as well. I could be closer to you, for one. It sounds much more peaceful.
I do not think you to be rambling at all. I enjoy reading anything you have to say. While I do wish the best for your family, I do hope that doesn't include you leaving for America. Hogwarts wouldn't be the same without you.
My summer has been busy. I've been trying to keep occupied while awaiting my results, but I can't say it has been helpful. It will, however, allow for a fair bit of extra money to aid in purchasing school supplies for myself and Anne. She has yet to ask for my assistance, and I dread to think that she's been brewing on her own. The summer is still young, however, and I've no doubt she will find herself in some sort of trouble. While I don't doubt the sorting hat's choice to place her in Slytherin, I think she would have fit very well into Gryffindor.
What have you been occupying yourself with these days?
I gladly accept your invitation. Would sometime in early July be a sufficient time for a visit?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours,
Mr. Edison Moony
