The name Bonaccord sounded vaguely familiar, and if it hadn't hurt to think he might have been able to figure out whether that was because he knew Bonaccords of his own approximate age or whether it was only that Clementine had talked about her friend before. As it was, he merely blinked and leaned back in his chair, wondering where the but was. Maybe it was just because he was too used to dealing with Verity and Grace and the demands of being a debutante, but he didn't often get to respond to his siblings' requests with an unconditional yes, so he was waiting to hear how this seemingly benign request would put him (and probably his pocketbook) out.
