He was very skillfully avoiding answering her completely, which was incredibly frustrating. She closed her eyes for a moment, willing herself some kind of patience, Daffy blew out a slow breath, blinking back the threatening tears.

Sit on the sidelines and watch him struggle with something she didn't even know about? Whatever it was, there had to be a way to help him. Daffy could help figure it out.
