He knew she was upset, and that she was being irrational right now — obviously, as this entire ordeal had showcased — but he still hadn't expected that. Muttering a curse under his breath, Dom took off after her. Fortunately, chasing down people who didn't want to be caught was what he did for a living. Unfortunately, Diagon was crowded on that day and she was both smaller than him and apparently cared less about running straight into passersby, so he was making slower progress towards her than he would have liked. He typically had other tools available to him, too, when he was chasing down criminals — he was not going to stun his own daughter in the middle of Diagon Alley to catch up to her, for instance.
When he did catch her, she was going straight back to her room, where he intended to lock her in until dinner at least. Maybe even later. She could go to bed without supper tonight, to think through what she'd done, because this was not okay.
"Zenobia Zabini!" he called, gaining on her but not close enough to snatch her up just yet. "Stop this instant or so help me, you won't have a wand all summer."
Bree made this!
