August would be the busiest month, if he had to guess, since some parents would wait until they had a Hogwarts letter in hand to buy anything. For some it would be because they didn't have the shopping list at hand until they received the letter, but for others it might be that they wanted to be absolutely sure their child was actually destined for Hogwarts before setting them up for disappointment.
