In all his years, Lachlan had never been witness to a dark wizard in action. He'd had plenty of scraps with opposing quidditch players and other students while at school (and not to mention a dragon that once), but there was a very unnerving tension that came with being ten-feet away without someone who was very likely willing to kill to achieve his purpose. Lachlan leaned forward, just close enough that he could be heard by the auror but not the dark wizard.
