A moronic American who'd tampered with time? Having spent breakfast with the Fudges, Arven had heard much about this perilous scandal over his morning toast, but it had sounded fairly uncomplicated for a rupture in time, and he could not imagine how such an event could extend to something as bizarre as this. But he should've known better; time was anything but uncomplicated. And Lorelei, a far older being, was immediately aware of that, concluding that the temporal event could have feasibly led to her sudden thirst.
He might have mused more on this curiosity, but the vampire evidently still had his blood on her mind, and his beating pulse in her mind's eye... she was either concerned for his safety, or wished she didn't have to be.
"I do know, but you're looking at a foolhardy wayfarer who's placed himself in more perilous circumstances than this. Not even a guardian angel could tempt me away from the lure of the forest and its stories, curiosities, adventures... case in point", he gestured to Lorelei with a slight smile. He hadn't been in the forest long at all before encountering a vampire.
"But you make a fair point... and this reckless wayfarer best take his leave." There was a slight playfulness to his tone, and the smile lingered a moment before he turned to leave. For there was some vague, curious connection between them. Still, he knew that his sister would be aghast at the concept of him lingering with a vampire in the middle of a forest, and he was going through a phase of trying to please her. Lorelei was benign thus far, but a temporal event had done something very unexpected to her. A vampire was one thing, but a vampire adversely affected by an interruption of temporal law was another thing entirely. And thus Arven's story of meeting a vampire would be an intriguing one, yes — but also rather quick.
