He and Ross had always got along politics wise, and the thought of being a part of the chair of lawmakers in the Wizengamot sounded – logically – like the type of move that would suit him favorably later on in life.

Worst case scenario he didn't make it in, though he knew that being a member of a large Pureblood family as well as being in good social standing would weigh in his favor, especially with Lucius Lestrange being Chief Warlock. Faustus looked to Ross again and grinned. "Are you sure you want me for your nomination?" He asked. His answer would ultimately be yes, and he was sure Ross knew this. Regardless of how favorable it would be for his personal politics, Faustus knew that it would be good to have more progressive views in the cabinet.
